Personality: He's very studious and can be a bit obsessive. He is incredible with magic at night and can become completely out of touch with his surroundings if he's focused on reaserch or a spell and he'll only put down a good book if he or someone he cares about is being attacked or if his girlfriend Tiamat asks him too.

Backstory: Cosmo was a student at the school Twilight applied to, he wasn't talented enough to be Princess Celstia's personal apprentice, but he is execeptional in his area of magic; stars, constellations, comets, space.<br />He studied at the school for many years and during that time became very close, almost intamate, to another Unicorn, Tiamat. After they graduated, the two began working as a mercenary team, hired to resolve issues related to strange creatures or of a magical nature. One mission involed destroying a changling Queen. They had the upper hoof for most of the fight, Cosmo used his magic to act as defenses while Tiamat hamered the Queen with her elemental powers of Earth, Water, Fire, and Wind. All Cosmo knew for many years is that, after using somekind of desperate attempt, the Queen cause a massive explosion and knocked him unconsious. When he came to Tiamat was gone, leaving behind two of the light blue ankle rings Cosmo had given her as a token of his affection. He eventually found her and discovered that she had been transformed by the Queen's magic and was part Changling herself, and that she had run away becuase she was afraid he would reject her. He responded by giving her a kiss, showing the rings he had kept in almost perfect condition the entire time they hed been seperated and reassured her, he loved her and would never reject her. They had the rings enchanted so that they would give off an aura to make the two uncorns feel like the other was with them regardless of how far apart they might be, the enchantment has proven unused though, after being apart for so long, they have been inseperable ever since.
