Personality: Age and exposure to time has made Crimson Flare what he is; very old and very wise. He moves through life with a great deal of respect for himself, respects others provided they give him common courtesy in return, and shows a large amount of respect to nature, and the workings of life. Time has made him aware of just how fragile it is, but has also made him aware of its complexities; he's learned to appreciate it, and sees great waste in destroying it. He'll try to convince others to do the same, though he draws the line at direct intervention. He'll let other make their own, despite having a keen awareness from past events of what most actions will entail.

Crimson Flare is very solitary by nature. Centuries of living has taught him a great deal of wisdom, but it has also left him with a dim impression of other others after being exposed to centuries of mistakes. His experience with other species has not been much better on him; he's come to know the fear and mistrust of ponies around him, and has seen the consequences of the fear and mistrust firsthand. On the same vein, however, he doesn't place fault in them. He recognizes that its the actions of his brethren that led to the feelings in the first place. Thus, he holds no grudges. He carries himself in a manner most becoming to him, and tries to stay out others ways, if he can help it.

Crimson Flare has a large measure of personal culture, and knows how to cook, as well as read and write in different languages. Having first-hand experience with different species from pony to zebra has also given him a lot of outwardly culture, and he can converse with others on a number of topics to a high degree. He has many personal experiences as well that he can draw on, though his stories are mostly told to explain, or to help others reach deeper understanding.
Backstory: As is common to the dragon species, Crimson Flare was abandoned as an egg. Years upon years would see Crimson Flare being forced to fight for everything that he wanted or needed, savaging anything in his way, and destroying everything else he could get his claws on.

After a countless amount of time spent doing exactly that,, he slowly began to realize the pointlessness of it all. He began to contemplate his actions, and in doing so, realized things about himself that he would have never thought to ask before. He began to travel, going to an innumerable amount of lands, and meeting an innumerable amount of beings and creatures, dragon, pony, and beyond. One of the last of these was Amethyst Blaze, who he took special interest in and decided to take care of. It would signify the end of most of his traveling; he now lives in the mountains near Canterlot, though he does occasionally travel out to seek someone or something, or just to watch events unfold.
