Personality: Bookish, unmotivated, talented, bright, insecure.<br /><br />Dark dawn is an outcast whose powerful magic and lack of humility has caused problems with discovering friendship. He is however extremely loyal and honest. Although often praised by instructors for powerful magic, many are wary from a lack of compassion. However, it is mostly a show. Insecurity and a lingering loneliness haunted him.

Backstory: Was alive during the time that Luna first became Nightmare Moon. Was a devoted student who aspired to have some of the most powerful magic in Equestria. When Nightmare Moon was imprisoned in the moon he sealed himself in a crystal deep in the Everfree forest, and cast a spell that froze him in time until she returned. The magic was too powerful though, and has destroyed the majority of his memory. He is currently living in a cave not far from Ponyville, spying on its inhabitants and steals books from Twilight's library to learn of what has happened. He still practices magic. Is still unaware that Luna was freed from the moon, or why he is where he is. He does remember being accepted into a magic academy, and a large number of minor spells that he loves to cast for no particular reason.
