Personality: "The Logician" INTP-A<br /><br />Darkwhip tends to get lost in daydreams and often finds himself lost in a conversation.<br /><br />Tending towards the pursuit of knowledge, the wonder of the unknown.<br /><br />Very difficult to anger or destabilize.<br /><br />Though when it comes to discourse and convincing ponies in general he comes lacking and finds difficult to relate to someone else, taking the logical approach before the emotional leads to problems when dealing with ponies.<br /><br />After his venture with Luna, he's been taking a more helping hoof to other ponies.<br /><br />Despite his power, and expertise in magic, he acts humble and tries to keep that image, often debating wheter or not to apply his force and resolve a problem and risking reveal, as most see his power as supernatural and overwhelming.<br /><br />Optimistic and a pushover, but can be very cruel.

Backstory: Youngest heir to The Harrows House among the noble families of Canterlot. House Harrows famous for it's explorers and magic theorists.<br />Son of Duchess Kindle Aeterna and Duke Gears Harrow, young Darkwhip had access to the best education a foal could have, learned to play the organ at age 11, and later at 17 discovered a new magical cipher specially crafted for the scrying of raw knowledge from raw arcane theorems, this latest achievement had him join with reccomendation letters from his tutors, in the famed School for Gifted Unicorns in Canterlot, there his ability to develop and further raise efficiency of thaumic and arcane constructs.<br />Graduating in Thaumic constructs at age 21, despite his academic career and near-prodigal ability to learn, he was yet to earn his cutie mark.<br />From graduation, Darkwhip started to work on the Institute of Ark-Magic of Canterlot as an assistant to Kronos Gaia, a foreigner scientist that came to the capital to research his multiverse theory on the Institute's Archanic amplifier.<br />They've been working together for 8 months, darkwhip's theory and ideas greatly accelerated his work, and one morning a magical explosion occured in his lab, the magic circle of the accelerator had a big burnt mark where a unicorn would usually be channeling and Kronus hat and labcoat laid there half burned, the funeral was held and, despite Darkwhip insistence on the matter, Celestia terminated research on the subject as to not harm anymore ponies.<br />At the funeral, Darkwhip met Kronus sister, Lady Age Gaia, she was the only family present as his parents had passed on, when explaining Kronus research to her, she proposed an audience with Luna, who her family had served before her fall, and were one of the few houses affiliated with Luna, as such she offered achance for him to present her brother research to her.<br />The audience was very tiring as the princess lacked knowledge of most terms and had way too many questions, but by the end she seemed very excited with the idea and even mentioned some dreams which had similar ideas.<br />Though she couldn't go against her sister decree on the research she devised another plan, to the north, in the ruins of Unicornia, there was an antique Arcane amplifier, that, according to legend, was much stronger and efficient than the ones built now, Luna had a map of the old city and sponsored his expedition, a small team of 5 ponies, as any bigger would not go unnoticed in the royal budget, Luna offered two of her lunar guard as escorts, two thestrals Mist Winds and Silver Wing, a unicorn mare called Dusk Light to help his research, and an earth pony mare called Lapis Strings to survey the area and update the royal maps.<br />The trip would take two weeks and a half by hoof, but Luna lended a chariot to take them to Baltimare where the trip would take 10 days instead.<br />After a long trip of mostly bad weather, they set-up camp in city market ruins, using an old granite house, the small group explored the city for days, eventually they found the amplifier.<br />He's been in the outpost for a year and managed to find many tomes preserved, translating and cataloging, translating the inscriptions surrounding the entire arcane amplifier, as per Luna's request.<br />One particular tome, entitled "The power of Love", was written in plain equestrian, seemingly recently printed, Darkwhip read the tome, and kept it hidden from the others, as it explicitly had many unknown ciphers intended for use in a particular kind of dark magic, Darkwhip knew well that type of magic, the visceral, feral side of his, perhaps another point of his curse, but he didn't feel any backlash from using said magic besides being in a much foul mood afterwards, reading about before he went any further, he discovered the corrupting effects of said magic.<br /><br />In the Tome, there was a blank page followed by a serious of complicated magic cyphers, many were found in the book and they required almost the entire magical dictionary to cast and more energy than he had, the tome was a magical research journal of a pony that signed C. T., the notes found previously hinted at creating some kind of greater unicorn, allowing one to become something greater, and then some harsh notes about King Gold Bar and his denials regarding use of the amplifier, the journal ends with big rough writings the words "Pain", "Hunger", "Despair", "Thirst". Applying his knowledge in spell theory to it he found many deficiencies in the syntax and grammar together with many corrections and parts simply forgot in the spell, in the end, he got something way beyond what a normal unicorn could cast, two pages inscribed with ciphers, He kept these notes and the book safely hidden while studying it, despite this, Dusk managed to find his notes and quickly recognized the dark ciphers, decided to inform Princess Luna, in the following days, Darkwhip mostly went outside and cast high-level spells to melt ice, create metal from rock, forge golems to cook, clean and help the guards, all high-level spells, this went on for about 2 weeks, when asked about it, he said he managed a breakthrough and needed to exercise his magical powers to cast the spell to locate Kronus, Darkwhip was also slipping those ciphers into his spells, they enhanced the effect and allowed much greater focus which resulted in less mana spent.<br />In April 24th, he finally managed to master the ciphers and had a mana pool sufficient to cast the spell, waking up early, sneaking past the others he made it to the amplifier room, the spell required absolute concentration and the best focus circle a mage could conjure, it took him nearly 2 hours of intense concentration, the circle spinning around him, sealing the outside, amplifying the power, the arcane amplifier, above him, descended into seven different sized rings and floated around him, these too spinning, at this point, his amber aura emanating from his horn was so large it almost touched the magic ring around, when he was finishing the few ciphers he started to float upwards to the point between the ceiling and floor, then the amplifier rings and his magic circle, started to spin around him in every possible angle, the blinding light and the spinning toroids making it hard to spot him.<br />A thundering sound shook the camp, Lapis first one to wake up, quickly got to her hooves and went to awake the others, together the group noted the absence of Darkwhip and scrambled to the ArcAmp room, Dusk quickly preparing a dark magic dispel Luna sent her.<br />Arriving in the room, they found deep green unicorn lying on the ground amidst circular burnt marks originating from the focus central, Dusk quickly dismissed her spell and readied a diagnostic instead, rushing to him, and casting she found him to be alive but very tired and dehydrated, taking him to the camp where he rested, until the next day when thegroup decided to trek to Harvest, southward just shy of two days from the ruins, arriving there the group hospitalized him.<br />A week later, he woke up, still with a throbbing headache, he recognized the hospital and went to the bathroom, not to go but to wash off any sleep off. Arriving there, staring at the mirror wasn't him, not his usual self but a dark green with a purple and red mane, but most importantly slit red pupils as eyes instead of his usual magenta ones he had from his mother, opening his mouth he also found two fangs, a nurse at this point came and saw him, despite his appearance and her fear, she procedded to warn his friends. At the alone time, Darkwhip went to check his most important thing, his flank for signs of any destiny in there, unfortunately, nothing, he was sure delving into high magics was his destiny.<br />After this incident, Darkwhip made some interesting discoveries about his new self, he was not a normal unicorn now, last night, kobolds attacked the groups and one of them managed to a good claw right at his side, unexpectedly, he didn't suffer any cut from the grasp, despite the sheer force, enough to send him flying in the opposite direction, after that event, everyone was worried he might've suffered a concussion from the force he was thrown at, but aside for a few scratches he was fine, at one point when he tried to ignite a fire, a simple ember spell, he managed to incinerate a good 3 meter radious around the campfire and into him, strangely enough, the inferno didn't burn him at all, even though it charred the earth dry and transformed a nearby short tree into ash in mere seconds, later he tried a simple magic bolt spell to a rock, at minimal force it would be similar to a good punch, what he got insstead was a lightning fast bolt that impacted the rock so hard it did not break or explode it just punched a two-hoofs wide cilinder cleanly through the rock without shocking it in the slightest, he also noticed his lack of hunger, back at the hospital he only need bit of water to feel satisfied, and not hungry at all, testing this, he went an entire week without eating anything just drinking a bit of water everyday, and he felt fine, even his own diagnostics reported him health, searching into the book, he foundin the blank page there was now some paragraphs, it stated she cast the spell anyway despite the Kings denial of her requests to the amplifier, and because of that had to optimize and cut the spell into it's core parts so she would later cast the entire spell, said spell allowed one's own emotions to serve as nutrition as well as much refined and concentrated mana pool, that would go much beyond a unicorns power by implementing the optimization over one's own body, the process was successfull, besides her body being deformed , but the incomplete spell destroyed her emotional core, the creature she became hungered it, and she feed on her family, the journal goes into detail of the emotion drain she now could do, and also her own test of her wings and newfound strength.<br />Luna was alarmed to hear of darkwhip new abilities and his ventures in dark magic, she decided to call back his 6 year expedition and examine him to find any traces of corruption.<br />Arriving in the capital, Darkwhip immediately goes to his home, he really missed his Dad, unfortunately, only Kindle received him, informing him he passed out last hearth's warming, devastated by the news, Darkwhip visited his grave and talked his heart out, arriving late to the summon, and explaining his delay Luna smiled and received him on the empty night court;<br />The next following days, Darkwhip told her what happened to him and what his research discovered, how are the ruins, at the end she was mostly convinced he was clean, that night, Luna was excited to talk to her sister about his return after so long in the north and all the adventures he had, unfortunately for her, Celestia had went to sleep straight after, these last few years she's been less and less with her, and night court kept getting more and more deserted, at that her frustration only grew, her protegeé had returned from his expedition and hecouldn't even tell her sister. That night, Luna entered his dream, up in the north, the city blocked her dreamwalking but since he was back she could finally see first hoof his adventures he would undoubtly be dreaming about, entering it, she did not find anything, everything was empty, she felt the blackness being a veil he placed to keep her from seeing, she then proceeded to lift the veil, the darkness around her shattered and behind it lay a hill, overlooking canterlot, on the edge a dark alicorn with a mane that seemed to contain every single star in the night sky contemplated the night, it quickly said:"Such a pity those foals miss our, beatiful night isn't it?".<br />A thousand years passed since them, Darkwhip and House Harrow have long since been forgotten, Darkwhip studies in magic have been very successfull, upon hearing that she's been liberated he ventures back to the capital to meet her once more and find these element bearers, specially a certain purple unicorn.<br />
