Cutie Mark: Her cutie mark is a yellow rose, her talent is gardening, but there is a slight twist, she can only grow desert plants, other plants, well, if she waters them instead of getting watered they get dried out. The rose also sort of represents her beauty.

Personality: Desertrose is very very shy, she rarely talks even to her best friends. She used to be slightly more open, until one day when her best friend exposed her deepest secret to the entire school. ever since she has had EXTREME trust issues, she rarely tell even her parents whats going on in her life. The only person she trusts is her friend Daffodil, who is technically her cousin.<br />A few stallions have fallen for her before, but gave up because of how patient they had to be even to just be friends with her.

Backstory: Desertrose was raised in a normal household, two loving parents, a little sister, but what wasn't average about Desertrose was she is a breed of pony that was thought to be extinct, a shimmer pony, they are like earth ponies, but they also have powers like a unicorn, except slightly weaker,(ie Carrot top! xP) they are also weaker physically unlike normal earth ponies. The only way to tell a shimmer pony from an earth pony if they don't use their powers, is the sparkles on their forehead, which some shimmer ponies cover with make-up. *Cutie Mark Story* When Desertrose was little the Thorn family went to Appaloosa to visit. While they were there Desertrose came across an uprooted baby cactus. She was a sensitive caring filly, so she took it back to hotel and planted it in a plastic cup and took care of it and it quickly recovered. Once their vacation was over she brought it home with her. She put it in the windowsill in her bedroom. The very next day it flowered. The second Desertrose saw it she got her cutie mark. She still has that cactus to this day. *END* Desertrose's best friend is Daffodil, sadly the relationship is one-sided, and Daffodil often considers Desertrose just a friend. She is sort of friends with Flavis, Kites, Tinky-Too, and Bubbles.
