• Dinghy Dank Donkey

    Halfblood

    • Age: 30

      Gender: Male

      Species: Non-Pony

Cutie Mark: Although not a cutie mark, Dinghy has a flank tattoo of an Equine skull and cross bones that he received in the far and exotic eastern lands.

Personality: Dinghy is a little rough around the edges. He's always apprehensive of others, always secretly questioning their motives and planning for the worst case scenarios.

He is often very judgmental, but seldom voices these critiques of others, and when he does, it's only to trusted friends.

Anxious and sometimes nervous, he frequently keeps a pipe nearby to calm his nerves. A vice that Dinghy has no qualms in hiding.

One of Dinghy's truer passions, is of course, sailing. It is one of the only subjects this donkey can talk openly about to anyone. He is joy for sailing the oceans and the skies are rarely paralleled.

Backstory: Dinghy Dank Donkey grew somewhere in northern Equestria to loving parents. At an unknown date, however, he ran away from his family, and proceeded to travel the known world.

As a teenager, he spent much of his time as a crew member on various merchant ships, both at sea and in the air. It is during this time that Dinghy developed his love of sailing. He has traveled across many exotic and strange lands, from Germaneigh, to Dromedor, and all the way to the Fringe and back.

At some point in his youth, one of the merchant ships he was employed under became under the seize of pirates. His crew fell victim to the pirates' cuelty, and many did not leave with their lives. However, the pirates' navigator was killed during the seize, and thus the pirate captain looked to Dinghy to fill in his place. Surprised by the donkey's skill and passion for sailing, he offered Dinghy a place among his crew, or face the plank with certain death. The young donkey wisely chose the life of piracy over death, and over time, began to enjoy the nefarious deeds of the pirate's life.

He has become a freelance brigand, joining ships in need of a sea/ air-worthy pair of hooves.
