Cutie Mark: A test tube with elecricity sparking out of the top.<br /><br />It symbolizes his talent with most things related to science.

Personality: Dr. Spark is very intelligent. He doesn't show much emotion on the outside except when doing an experiment. He is very analytical, but that is not to say he is emotionless. He hides most of his emotions underneath a metaphorical shield of science. He is brave and loyal to friends. He won't really ask for test subjects for his experiments, preferring not to put others in harms way despite what he refers to as "The Advancement of Ponylife" He does have a soft side for his engineer, but he doesn't let it show. (Or at least he tries not to let it show) He prefers to maintain the calm and reserved scientist.<br /><br />He has great manners and can be considered somewhat chivalrous, but he does tend to get a bit exciteable during his experiments. A sort of sadness can be seen in his eyes at times though.

Backstory: Silver Spark was born to a many generationed farming family that stretched back quite a few centuries. However, he seemed different then any other pony born before him. On top of that he was an only ponychild.<br /><br />Silver was more drawn to the path of intellect then the path of farming. He was often found in a nearby library or out in some cave performing some sort of experiment. During one incident, Silver was electrocuted by a lightning strike which left a streak of white in his mane and tail.<br /><br />His parents were very poor despite being part of a long lineage of farmers. They sent Silver to a University in Canterlot without letting Silver know how bad off they were. In a few weeks, Silver's parents had passed on while he was at the University.<br /><br />Silver was deeply saddened by their loss and withdrew himself from other ponies. He became rather reclusive though he still Aced his science classes at the university.<br /><br />It wasn't until he met Scarlett that he began to somewhat open up again. She had been watching Silver perform experiments in class and admired him. She followed him one day when he went to go perform one of his own experiments with elecricity. Ironically, she was electrocuted.<br /><br />She woke up a few hours later with Silver tending to her. After being scolded by Silver the two began to form a friendship which later developed into a sort of Friend-apprenticeship. Scarlett had skills in engineering which was the physical thing that Silver needed in most of his experiments, and a skill that he wasn't very good at. Scarlett just wants to learn from Silver.<br /><br />A few years and the two graduated from the university as the youngest Doctor and Engineer in their respective classes. Now the two travel the world together. Silver experiments with the world and Scarlett learns from him.
