Appearance: Charcoal grey coat with white markings on her hooves. Her mane is white and red and is kept pulled back in an intricate braid with a lock hanging down by her pointed ears. Her tail is stark white but the base is wrapped in a soft red ribbon to hold it off the ground. Her eyes are bright green and pointed (think Rarity). She is slightly taller than average and thin, but strong.

Cutie Mark: A willow tree hanging over a pond at night. It is representative of her survival skills and her connection with the natural world.

Personality: Determined, intelligent, fiercely loyal, dry sense of humor with an affinity towards nature in all its uses. She thrives in outdoor, untamed setting such as the Everfree Forest, using her survival skills and highly advanced knowledge of the natural world to hunt, gather, create shelter and live as best she can. She prefers the minimalist culture of survival over the glory and luxury of Canterlot. A good comparison for her is Zecora, though she is less mothering than everyone’s favorite zebra. <br />She is particularly well-versed in poisons and natural remedies: Where to find them, how to extract them, how they affect the body/mind, etc. She prefers to compare herself to a big cat: quiet, meditative, sly and strong. When she gives you her loyalty it is final and fierce and she will defend you and yours with a passion. She uses this loyalty to defend the forest she thinks of as home, and the creatures in it. She is trustworthy, strong and sarcastic. She values her intelligence and ability over everything. <br />Although she prefers the natural world she functions perfectly fine in cities and does not lack social skills. An intelligent conversation always leaves her in a good mood. She would be good friends with Twilight because of her brains and would enjoy hanging out with Rainbow and AJ. Despite her somewhat cool demeanor she is very giving and generous and has a soft spot for foals <br />She is very observational and has a photographic memory, remembering every detail she sees. As stated above she is a lot like Zecora and the two are good friends. She carries a bow and arrow. <br />

Backstory: Dryad was born and raised in Ponyville alongside her younger brother and sister, New Leaf and Larkspur, respectively.Her mother Atena was half zebra and a natural healer (think Zecora) her father Evening Light studied astronomy. Her parents and siblings were loving and she grew up in a happy home. Her mother's zebra heritage found its way into her and she found from a young age that she was attracted to the wild Everfree Forest. When her mother went to gather herbs and plants she often went with her and she soon went out on her own. <br />On one of these journeys she met Zecora and the two became fast friends. Zecora taught her much about the Everfree forest and its inhabitants and Dryad took it all in eagerly. She quickly became skilled at survival and general wilderness knowledge, identifying every plant and animal with ease. <br />She left her family home to live in and study the Everfree forest. She earns money by selling her natural remedies and by guiding ponies who need it through the Forest. Her remedies range from lotions to herbal teas to medicinal cures and more.
