Cutie Mark: The cutie mark shown in the image above is a video game controller. It symbolizes how he enjoys being with his friends and having fun with them.<br /><br />For the Shifted RP, it shows how much he enjoyed playing video games while he was still a human.

Personality: Generally shy, but opens up to those he is with over time and would do anything to protect his friends

Backstory: As a young pony, Electrobolt had been teased for being a "blank flank" by some of the other ponies around his age who had already gotten their cutie marks. There were a few, though, who were nice to him even if he was a "blank flank". They became good friends over time and would always hang out with him after the final school bell rang out, signaling that school was over.<br /><br />Electrobolt would always come up with some games they could play, and they all would have fun doing so. Sometimes, they would pretend to go on adventures, other times they would just chase each other around. But regardless what game Electrobolt came up with, they would always be filled with laughter at the end.<br /><br />One day, after they had finished with their next game and went back to their homes, Electrobolt had obtained his cutie mark. He didn't realize it until he had arrived home, however, when his parents had congratulated him on finally getting one. Confused, he looked at his flank, and sure enough, he had his cutie mark! He was unsure about what it was, but he figured it was because he enjoyed playing all those games with his friends all those days. Regardless of why his cutie mark looked that way he was happy either way. He had finally obtained his cutie mark.<br /><br />(Additional info for Canterlot Mystery Theater: Exit Trixie, Stage Right)<br /><br />Fast forward to just a few days ago, when Canterlot began to host an Equestrian Video Game Tournament. Normally, because of how the controllers would be shaped, unicorns would be the only ones able to partake in these tournaments, with ease anyways. However, one particular earth pony, named Electrobolt, had decided to partake in this tournament. The unicorns looked at this pony, seeing as he was just a simple earth pony, believing that whoever faced him would wind up having an easy time beating him and advancing. This, however, was not the case as he cleared round after round, advancing his way to the top, until eventually, he reached the finals.<br /><br />The two finalists walked up to each other and shook hooves, as Electrobolt looked at the contender in front of him. This unicorn was a pale green of sorts, with yellow eyes, and a mane and tail that had a mint green color, with a white streak running through the middle. Eventually, they got into position and prepared themselves for the final stage of the tournament. As time went by, the tension between the two ponies were high as they were neck and neck, pulling out all the stops. However, once the game was over, and all was said and done, Electrobolt wound up victorious.<br /><br />As he walked up to the stage to accept his reward, he saw the unicorn again as she walked up to him. Smiling, the unicorn held her hoof out as a nice gesture, in which Electrobolt gladly responded, shaking hooves again. It was then that he got the unicorn's name of Lyra, as she added that she had never seen an earth pony play video games just as good as a unicorn, if not better. After this, the two of them became good friends, playing against each other again, but this time just for fun.<br /><br />------------<br /><br />ALTERNATE BACKSTORY FOR SHIFTED (Disregard if you don't know what it is)<br /><br />Joe was home-schooled beginning from the First Grade in Elementary School, so he had never had the experience of meeting new people like he would have if he went to a public school. But he had video games to tide him over instead, beginning with the Super Nintendo.<br /><br />One day, because Joe was doing good with his lessons, his parents had purchased an Xbox 360 for him and signed him up for Xbox Live. He chose the screen name "Electrobolt" because it had sounded cool to him. After getting all set up, he put one of his games in and proceeded to dominate online.<br /><br />A few weeks later, however, a rift had opened up in his neighborhood. Even though his parents told him to stay away from them, curiosity had gotten the better of him. One night, he decided to sneak out of his home and hurry over to where the rift appeared. He soon wished that he had listened to his parents, though, as he began to be sucked into the rift, not knowing what was going on at all.<br /><br />Upon waking up, he could not recall his original name, but that wasn't what stood out to him first. What DID stand out to him was that he became a pony! He tried to remember what had happened before he turned into a pony, but he could barely remember much. The only thing he could remember was that he enjoyed playing video games, and his calling card: Electrobolt.
