Appearance: Elegant Stitch is a fairly pretty mare who often is mistaken for much younger than her actual age. She has a light grey coat and a little green mane and tail with pale pink highlights. She has dark green eyes.

Cutie Mark: Her cutie mark is a silver needle pulling a thread. This shows that her talent is sewing and embrodiery. She creates stunning gowns, blankets, and tapestries.

Personality: She is somewhat timid and does not enjoy confronting others. However, this does not mean that she will let other ponies walk all over her. When other ponies stand in her way, Elegant will stand her ground and fight back. She has an inferiority complex though. She is constantly acting she isn't very capable, even though she is. She is also not prone to impulsive and rash decisions.

Backstory: Elegant grew up in Ponyville with her parents and two brothers. They lived there until Elegant's father moved them to Canterlot. There, at age thirteen, Elegant had her first coltfriend. Elegant was head over heels in love with h and her heart was shattered when he dumped her for a prettier filly. Because of this incident Elegant began to doubt herself and her abilities. This was the beginning of her inferiority complex. Even though she had gotten her cutie mark by that point, she believed that she was not capable of acomplishing much.This perspective festered within her for many years. When she turned eighteen, Elegant moved from Canterlot to Manehattan, where she set up a small, but prosperous shop in which she sold clothing and various embroidered items. When she was twenty, she was visiting her family in Canterlot. While there she bumped into a three year old unicorn filly named SpotLight who was playing in a small park. Elegant knew that there was something special about the little filly and asked the old stallion who was watching over SpotLihht about her. Elegant was infirmed that SpotLight had been found abandoned on the streets of Canterlot as a newborn foal. No pony knew who her parents were and no pony had stepped forth to claim her. Although Elegant was not prone to impulsive decisions, she immediately adopted SpotLight. Her family at first rejected her decision and stayed that she was too young to be a mother. Elegant stood her ground and simply told them that SpotLight was her daughter and there was nothing they could DJ to change that fact. She brought her new daughter back to Manehattan with her. While it was difficult raising a child on her own and running her business, but she managed. When she was twenty six and SpotLight was nine they moved to Ponyville. There she set up another little shop which was pretty popular. She encouraged SpotLight's friendship with the Apple family and the two families were often together.
