Species: Unicorn

Cutie Mark: Emerald Blaze is a permanent Blank-Flank after tampering with his own bodies' natural ability to gain a Cutie. Using his inadequate magic to speed up the process eventually ended up destroying that part of his being, Thus rendering him incapable of gaining a Cutie. He won't accept that he can't get one though and he will always try to claim it by any means possible.

Personality: Generally upbeat, although at times, his humor can get a little dark for many's tastes. Often joking at even the grimmest of situations, he will gladly take on a fair amount hardships just to hear the sound of genuine laughter. He doesn't however, tend to laugh at others when they mess up, as he does at himself. He will always try to draw attention away from someone that doesn't want it.

Backstory: A few years after Emerald Blaze was born, Nightmare Moon broke free from her moon-bound prison. When she appeared before the town, his parents were marked as Nightmare Supporters because they offered their service to her in return for safety of their friends and family, thus forcing them to be banished when Nightmare was vanquished by the Elements of Harmony. After the banishment, Emerald was adopted by some close family-friends. The family were all Farmer-Earth-ponies, so they had no need nor time for Blaze to learn anything about magic. He was raised as an Earth-pony from then on.<br /><br />Roughly one year ago, Emerald left his adopted family to find a unicorn mentor to teach him magic. The only pony that would bother teaching such a late-learner was a fairly young unicorn mare, her name; Jaden Mane. She agreed to teach him the basics, on the condition that he had would never use any of the learnt magic to inflict pain or injury on another living being. <br /><br />Present day, Emerald Blaze has managed to learn very little magic due to his late time of learning. He has, however, learned unusually strong levitation magic because of his time living as an Earth pony, building his strength - both physical and mental. The best he can do other than that is produce a slightly dimmed light, where a normal unicorn would produce light equivalent of a magnesium flare.<br />
