Appearance: Emerald has a dark grey coat, a long, dusky violet mane which lightens towards the tips and emerald green eyes. Her eyes are her most prominent feature, staring out from behind her mane - a stark contrast to her otherwise dark colours.

Cutie Mark: A green gemstone - it represents both her ability to barter and negotiate as we'll as her piercing emerald eyes.

Personality: "Kind hearted" and "Manipulative" are rarely used together without some sense of irony.<br /><br />Emerald is a reserved, well spoken pony. She believes in making the very most out of any and every situation and as such can sometimes come across as very forward, especially when dealing with strangers.<br /><br />She is a natural diplomat, being willing to show both sides of an argument and force the two sides to see things from her point if view. Usually, however, her skills are more often put to use in more mundane situations, such as tending her jewelery store.<br /><br />She is kind natured but her forward nature can often mean that she may do things out of kindness even when it was neither needed or wanted.

Backstory: Emerald grew up in Canterlot among a fairly well off family - she wouldn't have been called rich, but she never went without anything she needed. <br /><br />As a filly, she earned her cutie mark when she stumbled upon her mothers jewelery box, where she was instantly captivated with the way the light shine from every angle if the colourful stones.<br /><br />The bold colours reflected on her personality - she became a kind, but forceful mare and took a few jobs negotiating terms of business deals and such for the more wealthy citizens of Canterlot. From here, she was noticed by more powerful ponies: becoming a diplomat in the employ of royalty.
