Appearance: <p> She resembles a changeling in coat colour and hoofs. Her horn is long and twisted and she has a droopy, fiery orange mane and tail. Her wings are translucent and light orange. They are longer then Fireflies due to being the Empress Firefly. </p> <p> This post directs you to a resemblance of how I imagine Ignatia. Personality: <p> She is a motherly figure to her children but can be ruthless and powerful when she needs to be. She is very stern and unlike Celestia, prefers to use harsher methods and does not remain kind for too long. </p>

Backstory: <p> Empress Ignatia lives in the far South, in the kingdom of Filena, with her children. She doesn't interact with the world and it's problems. Unlike Changelings, Fireflies weren't created because of a bug bite. When Ignatia was born, the Empress was an evil Firefly named Beralia. Ignatia grew up in a time of war against the Equestrian kingdom of Saddle Arabia. Sultan Amir and Sultana Amunet wanted the Burning Desert for themselves when it belonged to the Firefly Kingdom. Ignatia was born to be the next Empress as all female Fireflies were. When Ignatia was 17, she escaped the palace and travelled to where the war was taking place, in the Burning Desert. She soon saw the hardship and pain of both sides and wished there to be an end to this bitter war and prevent countless deaths. When Empress Beralia died, the war was still on going and both sides had lost many. Ignatia became Empress and ordered an end to the war. She met in the Burning Desert with Sultan Amir and Sultana Amunet and ordered a peace treaty where each kingdom would own half of the desert. She settled the war and became known for her strategic skills in battle when the Changelings came from the North-West and tried to strike against Saddle Arabia from the South-East. Her warriors and herself held off the Changelings at Marina Harbour. King Zeros (The Changeling King) loathed Ignatia ever since. She then retreated for years after the Changeling War.  </p> <p> Info: Female Fireflies live for up to 200 years old. They stop aging at 25 and begin to age once again at 140. Males live up to 100 years old and stop aging when they turn 18. If they haven't died by 100, they will die simply by passing of old age though they look like they are 18. </p>
