Personality: Scarlett is a very outgoing and friendly pegasus. Quite opposite to her mentor, Dr. Silver Spark. She is brave and loyal to her friends. She is also tougher and a bit stronger then most Stallions. She is compassionate as well.<br /><br />She is a bit rough around the edges though meaning she is rather tomboyish. She is quite energetic and doesn't really do well with things that require patience unless it is her work. Scarlett has a love of learning as well. She also has a secret crush on her mentor Dr. Silver Spark.

Backstory: Scarlett Ratchet was from a family of renowned engineers. They had actually helped design and build the train that runs through Ponyville, Canterlot, and beyond. Her family was rather large and most of them followed the hoofsteps of carpenters and engineers. Despite this history though, none of the females in her family had ever been engineers. <br /><br />So Scarlett decided to make a change to that. She worked harder then her brothers to become an engineer. Her father was impressed, but noticed more potential in his daughter. He saw that she was smarter than the average engineer and decided that going to a place to improve on her knowledge would greatly benefit her.<br /><br />So, after a while, Scarlett found herself in a University in Canterlot. She didn't understand why her father had sent her there, but she did enjoy learning new techniques. Her engineering skills improved greatly at the university, but she also became interested in Inventing.<br /><br />She had studied a pony called Silver Spark for a while. She watched how he worked and admired him. She started having a small crush on the pony genius. She started to spy on him in secrecy until one day she was electrocuted by one of his experiments.<br /><br />A few hours later she had woken up as Silver Spark was tending to her and scolding her. After that the two developed a friendship and later a sort of apprenticeship. Though they were both the same age, Silver Spark was way more intelligent then Scarlett and she was eager to learn from him. Her engineering background also gave her an edge in Silver Spark's eyes.<br /><br />A few years later the two graduated as the youngest engineer and Doctor in their respective clasees. Now they travel the world together. Scarlett helps with Silver Spark's experiments and learns from him.
