Appearance: Both mare's are several shades of blue and purple. <br />Enid is a lilac-like colour, with a lightish blue mane tinted with a light purple. <br /><br />In the scheme of Aloe and Lotus, Myra's colours are identical, but reversed. Her coat is a light blue, and her mane is a lilac-like colour.<br />

Personality: Enid is the slightly younger one of the two, and also the more worrying. While she has no ill intent in her actions, she has no concept of right and wrong. She doesn't understand how her actions may affect others, as she has no real emotions herself, so to speak. She will attempt to convey emotion to others in an attempt to get them to understand her, but she doesn't actually feel anything. Her near constant smile can also be as comforting as it can creepy. In a word, you could describe her as "manipulative", however this may be unfair - as she doesn't understand the way she goes about getting her own way is wrong.<br /><br />To describe Myra in a word - Protective.<br />Myra is the more stable of the pair, and while she understands feelings and does indeed know the difference between right and wrong - as long as her sister is safe, she doesn't care what she has to do to keep her that way. She's also not the subtlest of mares, and will directly pursue her goal with relentless aggression if she needs to. In contrast with her sister, her own emotions are very real, and she doesn't even attempt to hide even the slightest change in her demeanour. She's also very prone to mood-swings and lashing out for no readily apparent reason. <br />

Backstory: Born victim to a rare disorder that caused her to lack development of a tongue, Enid has never been able to talk. Her parents always had trouble knowing what she wanted, but they did their best for her, knowing what they did - her sister, however...always knew. Of course, being young, Enid could only grow frustrated at her parent's constant misunderstandings and seemingly patronising behaviour. Eventually she developed a numbness to being misinterpreted by them, before she finally gave up trying. <br /><br />Myra on the other hoof, always loved her sister dearly - with an almost fanatical devotion. The pair where connected on a nearly paranormal level, with Myra being able to understand Enid without fail, seemingly without explanation. When she was old enough to understand exactly why Enid couldn't talk, she was distraught and took drastic action. Her last spoken words were "If you can't talk, I don't want to either." Before she removed her own tongue in a show of loyalty.
