Personality: Erle is clever and observant. He is very cynical and vain, and usually prefers his own company to most others. He is, however, brave and quick thinking, and willing to help any in need.

Backstory: Erle has lived in Ponyville since he was a young colt. His father taught him self-defence, and showed him how to see the world from a different perspective. When he discovered his talent for solving problems, he became a detective, solving mysteries for the ponies of Ponyville. He enjoys investigating, particularly the more confusing riddles that he considers a worthy challenge.
