Appearance: (Afraid that due to a lack of money and the inability to art I don't have a picture.)
(and I'm not using pony creator unless I absolutely bloody have to.)
Taller than average unicorn, with an off-white or cream coat. slightly thinner than the majority of his fellow ponies, probably attributable to his diet (Sorta cheese Sandwich-esque, if you get me). Ragged, navy mane (similar to Rainbow Dash's but shorter at the back. A poor description, I know, but best I can do). Has sideburns. He also has a scar running through his left cutie mark, from a fight with a couple of griffons. Golden eyes. A few small black spots, powder scars, on his right cheek. Left-hoofed.
Cutie Mark: A brass telescope, to symbolize his excellent eyesight.
Personality: Has become more and more close-minded since his departure from the guard. He can sometimes be arrogant, and is rarely generous. Feels that others have cheated him, and he has nothing left. He's also vengeful, rather brutal in his methods, and not particularly compassionate to those he doesn't know. But he always respects a fellow soldier.

(Tends to say bloody, damn and bugger rather a lot.)
Backstory: Born the son of a wealthy merchant in Canterlot, Ever Sharp had a rather easy, yet simple, upbringing. His father tried to teach him the ways of the merchant, buying low and selling high, But Sharp longed for more, excitement and adventure, gold and adrenaline. He gained his cutie mark at fifteen, a brass telescope, after he spotted a thief, who had stolen from his father, escaping down a crowded street; A testament to his good eyes. He spent much of his youth on the dark streets of downtown Canterlot, exploring, fighting, learning how to survive in a big city. A year later he enrolled at the military college in Canterlot. It was there he learned discipline and order. He spent his first year studying mapmaking, tactics, and wilderness skills, training to become an exploring (A.K.A. intelligence) officer. However, his relatively peaceful life was shattered when his father's business collapsed (Literally, killing him), and his inheritance was stolen by a crooked lawyer. Unable to afford the college payments, he dropped out and spent his some of his few bits on a couple pints of apple cider. Then another few pints. Then he lost count.
When he woke up the next morning, he was a private in the royal equestrian guard.

He was in the guard for twelve years, and rose to the rank of captain in the intelligence core, commissioned after saving the town of Trottingham from an incursion by timberwolves, with but a handful of soldiers. Perhaps his one recognized act. But his deeds were forgotten and he was discharged. He's proud, but angry at his superiors, for abandoning him. He survives on his own cunning, stealing, looting, fighting. He has little to lose, and everything to gain. He remembers the advice of his teacher, who told him- "Remember, Ever Sharp, an officer's most valuable weapons are his eyes. His second would be his head. Don't lose either."
His one surviving friend, Lucky Eye, who served with him for six years, recently went missing.

Still carries his old dress uniform, but does not wear it often, for he doesn't want to draw too much attention. (Picture of similar uniform in the "Other" section, if you want to see it. Any adaptions are listed).

(The city of Darkness- Still a member of the guard. A such some of the parts of the personality section do not apply.)
