• Falling Dusk

    BullPony

    • Age: Depends on RP if at a younger age he doesn't have his wings

      Gender: Male

      Species: Unicorn

Appearance: From birth until about 8 he was actually a solid white unicorn. He didn't get his wings till he was about 10 years old.

Cutie Mark: While it may not look like it, Falling Dusk has a Cutie Mark. His Cutie Mark is the fact that all of his hair, save the mane, tip of snout, and hooves are completely black.

Personality: Falling Dusk is a pony that is very focused on his studies of dark magic. Because of this he has very few friends. Although he doesn't have many friends, this doesn't mean he is difficult to be around, to the contrary, whenever he is not studying (which is very infrequent) he is trying to help and befriend others at his part time job as a librarian's assistant.

Backstory: As stated above, when Falling Dusk was born, he had a solid white coat. He was born to a father named Rising Dusk, and a mother named Setting Moon. Even though Falling Dusk was born in PonyVille, because of his parents extensive knowledge of both dark and light magic, they were asked to move to Canterlot in order to help Princess Celestia better understand the dark magic that could be used against Equestria ( This move happened when Falling Dusk was very young around 4-5 years old).

Although his parents were always busy and didn't have a lot of time to interact with him, Falling Dust always respected and looked up to them for guidance. It was because of his deep respect for his parents that he decided to dive into his study of light and dark magic, he actually started this at a very early age (around 6-7 years old). As he was studying he realized that he was more prone to understanding and accomplishing dark magic then he was with light magic. After realizing this, he almost completely stopped his study of light magic, and started to devote all of his study time to the art of dark magic.

On the morning of his 8th birthday he woke suddenly as if from a terrible dream. In order to calm himself down he decided to go into the bathroom to wash his face. The minute he turned on the light and saw his reflection, he screamed in surprise, his coat had completely changed color. At seeing this he ran to his parents for some sort of explanation; they had none. So they decided that they would go to Celestia to find out what had happened. When they got to the castle they were greeted by both Celestia and Luna. While Celestia didn't know what caused Falling Dusk's coat to change color, Luna did. She told them that at times, cutie marks are not just small images on a filly's flank, but in some very rare cases, a cutie mark can cover a pony's whole coat. After being told this by Princess Luna, Falling Dusk understood why he had been given his cutie mark. His cutie mark not only showed his understanding of dark magic, but it also showed his past decision to stop his study of light magic.

At around the age of ten he was studying flight spells in a book for light magic, he knew that he wouldn't be able to do that hard of a spell, so he looked for a dark magic substitution; he eventually found one. Unlike the flight spell used on Rarity, the dark magic spell counterpart was much more difficult to destroy, and was overall more durable (and look like bat wings instead of butterfly wings). After first first successful conjuring of his wings, he learned that he was pretty competent at flying, because of this he practiced the spell almost every day, and eventually became so good at it, that he could conjure up the wings almost immediately.

At around the age of 16-17 he was asked by one of Canterlot's main librarians to become her assistant (he was asked by her because of the immense amount of time that he spend in the library studying his magical art.
