Appearance: Far Fetched is taller then average for a colt. Some might describe him as lanky and he's certainly got long legs. His mane and tail are usually messy, and although naturally they're light blue they usually have splatters of various colors of paint in it. <br /><br />Far Fetched's pelt is quite unique- the underlying color is black but he also has splotches of color all over. These volors include blue, green, red, yellow, and purple. As hard as it may be to believe, these are naturally occurring and quite thick. It gives him a bit if a mismatched, comical appearance but he doesn't mind much. The stunning display of color is, in fact, part of his namesake. Far Fetched's eyes are a vibrant green and he almost always has a sly expression. Usually because he's busy thinking up some prank to pull on an unsuspecting pony.

Cutie Mark: An easel with a blank canvas on it. Special talent is painting, specifically very colorful scenes with lots of movement in them. Such as a bunch of children playing or balloons floating in the sky. He can make such paintings look incredibly lifelike.

Personality: Far Fetched may look comical, but that belies the clever brain he's got in his head. When in the right frame of mind, he can be downright devious. However he mostly uses his brain power towards thinking up some cool pranks or tricks to play on those around him. Fetched, as most call him, loves to joke around with everypony and is, in fact, quite rarely serious. It's his way of hiding from problems, since he doesn't like dealing with bad things.<br /><br />Fetched isnt constantly sunshine and jokes, though. He can have quite the temper if pushed hard enough and isn't afraid to be physical. He might not be too muscled, but he's quick and he has the advantage of reach. Fetched usually prefers to exact his revenge in a much subtler way, though. Such as flirting with the somepony his new enemy has their eye on, spreading rumors, or even just replacing their ink with invisible ink.<br /><br />Fetched is also quite the flirt. He doesn't have a preferred gender and likes to think of himself as 'open to anything'. He enjoys all the fun of a flirtatious relationship, but never really gets into anything deeper then that. Long term isn't his thing and Fetched always makes that clear to the ponies who seem to expect more from him. Plus, he really doesn't like when ponies stay over. Fetched considers his home, a small studio apartment, his own and doesn't like intruders. Especially in his work place, and even more when he's working.<br /><br />When Fetched is painting he kind of goes into a zone. He will shut out all other distractions as best he can and zero all his intention in on his work. His temper is always at its absolute worst when somepony dares interrupt him during one of these periods. He shares this trait with his gloomy best friend, Trixie Treats. <br /><br />Fetched doesn't like direct confrontation, or heavy situations. He prefers lightheartedness to anything real. He also avoids emotions to do with love or attachment like the plague. The only pony he's shown lasting affection for is Trixie Treats, and they've never been anything more than friends.

Backstory: Far Fetched doesn't like to talk much about what his life was like growing up. He had a father who was a beauracratic paper pusher in the government, and a mother who resented staying home with her kids. When he was born his mother took one look at his odd coloring and asked the doctor if there was something wrong with him. When the doctor proclaimed him healthy as could be, his mother said that it was rather far fetched to think this type of coat would happen naturally and the name stuck. His father was the stern type who expected his children to exceed every expectation, no matter how high. His mother started going out every night after Far Fetched's little sister was born. <br /><br />Fetched's sister was a sickly little child, and he poured all of his time and devotion into caring for her. He struggled with keeping up with schoolwork, all the things his father expected from him, and making sure his sister was okay. Fetched never liked school much, except for the art classes. At first it was crayons, and then other utensils. However it was a few years into school before Fetched thought to pick up a paintbrush. He looked around and decided to capture the chaotic schoolroom around him, and that was how Fetched found his inclination for art.<br /><br />Fetched knew his father was disappointed the moment he showed him his cutie mark. His father had wanted his son to go into a work like his, and work hard to support a family. In his father's own words "Artists are a lazy, ungrateful bunch who don't do anything for the country that supports them.'" <br /><br />Fetched continued to care for his sister even as he reached the age when he should be striking out on his own. He'd managed to sell a few paintings, enough to buy a small apartment with enough room for him and his sister. Only a year or two after they moved, his sister caught pneumonia and perished. Fetched has refused to talk about her since and instead keeps the door to her room shut. He hasn't opened it since she passed away.<br /><br />Fetched met Trixie Treats about five years before his sister died. He took an immediate liking to the pessimistic pony and continues to bother her constantly. Despite her outward exasperation for Fetched, he is Trixie's closest friend and will most likely stay that way.
