Appearance: Pelt: Silver
Mane/Tail: Seafoam /w midnight blue streak
Eye Color: Right eye deep blue, left eye Jonquil (A slightly darker shade of yellow)
Build: Wide but lean
Cutie Mark: Three interlocking bronze cogs/gears
Personality: Generally overconfident, he is willing to tackle any challenge... At least, he normally doesn't bite off more than he can chew, but there is a chance he might jump off a cliff to rescue a pony before coming to the realization he can't fly. Yes, the point is, he doesn't think things through. But that's okay! He tries to be a good pony, his actions certainly show it! The only problem is he isn't very socially inclined.

Despite his flaws, he tends to be very relaxed. In his general day to day life, he doesn't stress if he's a bit behind on work or if somepony doesn't like him. Still, in a particularly dangerous situation (like a dragon attack) you may find him charging, realizing where he is, and then running and cowering, at which point very, very stressed.

His curiosity knows no bounds, which has proven to be a curse, and a blessing. His hopes always float high, and his spirits higher, once you get to know this pony he tends to be pretty likable, but might seem like a weirdo from a distance.
Backstory: Life as a filly was interesting for Felix, his parents were inventors as well... Of the many things they invented these were some (few of which became known): The Grab-a-Saddle: A saddle with hooks to allow one pony to take out the trash... without their mouth, The Auto-Juicer: Taking the labor out of stomping apples with a hamster-wheel-like machine that through many cogs and bars and other thingamajigs squeezed juice by running, and a large sheet of fabric they claimed let ponies fly downwards, however was never tested outside of the Steam family. Many more inventions were made, fail and succeed. Eventually the father discovered how to contain steam in metal chambers, and tried to make a small one which blew into the glider, however in the process of compressing, it was a new idea for them, the chamber had exploded and the father was put into a coma. Felix's Mother had already passed away, leaving Felix and his older brother to the orphanage.

Felix always wanted to invent, but in the back of his heart he knew he wanted to perfect his fathers steam flier. Still, he never had the resources, and tried to invent things in filly school, despite being in the middle of classes. Being an orphan and such a nerd for inventing he was always teased, but he knew he wanted to invent, so already had his cog cutie mark, and never faced the horror of being a blank flank, on the contrary, he had his cutie mark the day after his father passed in the hospital.

A time in which timber wolves invaded Felix decided to stand up to them, and after getting close and seeing their enormousness he apologized and bolted for the nearest cover. At this point a filly with the mark of a boxing glove came in and distracted the wolves, and proceeded to escape them. The failure in a critical time brought the anger of the foster home and teachers, as well as the ridicule of his peers.

Still, he did have a small circle of friends, of whom he was always telling about his new inventions, usually small things like some paper clips, a pencil, and some string, formed into a crank powered tow, which he would attach to a door and make a "crank powered door handle."

Eventually, after getting out of filly school, he had taken it to his own hands, and grabbed some books about steam and metalwork, so for about a year he had been doing self study and small study testing. The idea of non-pegasi flying was so huge he managed to get a small fund from a far off earth pony philanthropist.
