• Fir Padfoot

    anythingmasterz

    • Age: 18

      Gender: Male

      Species: Unicorn

Appearance: A dark bluish-green unicorn with strange, light-green burn marks throughout his body. He generally has a more solemn look on his face.

Cutie Mark: His cutie mark is a sandcloud, due to the fact that he can dig through the ground and manipulate the dirt he digs in various ways.

Personality: He is generally a very solemn unicorn, rarely seen with a smile. He is usually seen on his own, tending to anyone he may run into and then continuing onward. Preferring the life with nature instead of the life of a city, he became familiar to the animals within the forest.

He fears fire, due to the fact that he was involved in one, barely able to survive. He'd prefer to help other ponies rather than ponies helping him as he feels dedicated to help absolutely any pony that he sees in any way possible. An extremely modest unicorn, he tends to make everypony around him feel better about themselves.

Backstory: Once living in a large town, Fir and his family lived together. He lived with his parents, his 2 brothers(one older by 3 years and one younger by 5), and his one sister(younger by 9). Fir was a fairly popular unicorn and everybody seemed to like him.

One night, when the entire family was sleeping, a fire broke out in their house due to inexplicable reasons. Fir woke up to the sound of the blaze and quickly tried to find his family, but the fire was already advancing inward to the parent's room. He yelled out, "Mom! Dad!" and his parents replied, minutes before they were to be consumed by the blaze, "Quickly! Get your siblings out of here!" Fir, in tears, went and woke his siblings, after which he sneaked right back in to try and get his parents.

As the blaze continued, more and more ponies arrived and helped as they could to put out the fire, and then one of the ponies asked his oldest brother, Prongs, "Is everypony out of the house?". Prongs suddenly realized Fir was still inside and said, "Oh no!" as he dashed in to find his brother. Prongs found Fir sobbing, trying to stamp out the fire, trying to get into his parent's room. At this point, Fir had already been severely burnt and Prongs said, "Fir! It's too late. We need to get you out." Fir wouldn't move so Prongs picked him up and pulled him out of the house. Minutes later, the house crashed down, and most of the city had gathered by that point. The fire continued to burn for hours, the ponies having given up on putting out this horrendous blaze. Many tried to give Fir and his siblings comfort, but Fir just stared at the fire, laying on the ground still hurting from his burns, and crying. When the fire died, Fir got up, looking for his parents hoping they were alive. He could not find any sign of them.

Fir then decided to leave the town, telling his siblings as much, being 15 at the time. Fir started to walk away and Prongs raced after him, blocking his path and saying, "Where do you think you're going?". Fir said, "Anywhere but here.", still sobbing. Prongs told Fir he would not go alone and Prongs, realizing Fir's pain, followed him wherever he would leave, hoping not to lose yet another one of the family.

Fir and his siblings settled into a wooded area and made a nice home, Fir never to fully recover from the terrible blaze. They wandered around, sometimes Prongs would head back into the town and get supplies or meet up with his old friends, and Fir would help any travelers he met when outside the house. Fir, growing up in this house, was determined to be stronger so that if a next time would occur and another blaze would find its way to him, he would be able to stop it. He at first tried carrying water from place to place, but didn't find it his strength.

Then, one day, he thought of stamping on the ground, not just to put out the fire he stamped on, but to actually lift up the ground and have it spray over the fire, making it weaker and putting it out much easier. When he started stamping, he realized how powerfully he could pound the ground, and when he stamped up the dirt, he felt something and looked on his flank to see a cutie mark. Of one of the few times you could see a smile on his face, this was one of those times. He realized he could not only powerfully pick up the dirt, but almost direct it. He could send it and make it useful elsewhere. His strong legs allowed him to dig holes extremely effectively as well.

Once, he came across a limping pony and saw others chasing him. Realizing the danger this pony was in, he quickly dug up the dirt and flung it towards the chasers, blinding them. As they tried to rub the dirt out of their eyes, he grabbed up the endangered pony and ran back to his house to treat the pony. After the pony had recovered, he sent the pony off, and they had yet to see each other again.
