Appearance: Flash's coat is chestnut brown,mane and tail mahogany brown with streaks of grey. Eyes are golden.<br />Flash appears to be in his 40's due to his accelerated aging. (2x norm)

Cutie Mark: A single black cog bisected with a white lightning bolt. His talent is machines, He's best described as a "engine whisperer". His superior hearing gives him the ability to sense what is going on with almost any machine.

Personality: Flash is very shy around other ponies, especially mares. Although if they share an interest in machines, he will open up quickly. He's also fairly awkward in social situations. Machines he understands, Ponies..well not so much.<br />

Backstory: Flash was adopted as a foal. His birth parents are still unknown to him, because the laws in Seaddle for a blind adoption are very strict. Flash has ADD.<br />For him, machinery represents the physical manifestation of harmony. All parts working together in unison.<br />At the age of six he built his first engine.<br />After his senior graduation, He joined the military.<br />His superior diagnostic skills and radical out-of the-box thinking, quickly elevated him to a position in the weapon research and development branch.<br />During a experiment with a magic-powered prototype, disaster struck. The device malfunctioned causing a feedback and buildup to detonation. Trying to stop the catastrophe,and save his colleagues, Flash threw himself into the works to stop the overload. The explosion destroyed the lab.For whatever reason, his being at the epicenter somehow spared his life and cruelly took his dear friends from him.Military Doctors examined him only to find that his body is aging at twice the normal rate and are unable to stop it.<br /><br />His superiors had him court-martial-ed,stripped of rank and summarily discharged.<br /><br />Since then he has been offering his talents in ponyville,Working with Time Turner and Steamer. He keeps the Clock tower in good working condition, and has made some improvements to the steam engine that chugs through town. Having recently heard of the restoration to The Sisters' castle in Everfree, Flash hopes to visit the extensive library there and hopefully find a cure for his magical ailment. For the time being,He has set up a small curio shop called "Precious Moments" where he sells tiny models and toys powered by magic crystals,based on his previous work.<br /> <br />
