Stallionslaughter

    • Age: 25

      Gender: Male

      Species: Earth Pony

Appearance: Light blue coat, red tail and eyebrows, no mane, and golden eyes. Small stature, a bit heavy, and short tail.

Surgical scar on right foreleg (from bone fixation) and right side of chest (from thoracostomy). Small scar on right eyebrow from being hit in the face with a guitar.

Cutie Mark: Yellow and Red floor tom-tom drum with two floating drum sticks. Earned after playing the drum-kit for the Canterlot School of Gifted Unicorn's orchestra.

Personality: I am happy, funny, and honest. I always try to help others and assume trust in new ponies that I meet. If that trust is violated, I am unforgiving and tend to hold a grudge. Gaining my trust is a one-chance affair.

I love to tell stories and make other ponies laugh, I always strive to be civil even if I don't like somepony, and I am very social.

I find it very difficult to keep my muzzle closed when I hear somepony say something ignorant. I always feel like I'm helping them by citing what I've read and attempting to re-educate them, but often I come off as arrogant and opinionated.

I am bound by the ideology of respect. Even if I feel that somepony doesn't deserve it, I do my best to give it to them anyway.

My emotions to serious issues tend to be reserved. I shrug off good news and bad news equally. (I.E. Find out my mother might die: go to work and hope for the best. Get invited to play with a famous musician: Nod and get to work on my composition.)

Not to say that I am emotionless like Maud Pie, but all good news and all bad news, no matter the degree, gets the same reaction.

I am a lot like Applejack in that feeling happy makes me very chatty, while being angry stirs single word answers to direct questions if not silence.

Backstory: When I was 12, my father gave me his drum-set and I learned a bit, but was generally uninterested in playing music. I wanted to be a bad-ass and made a habit out of bullying others.

My father insisted that I play orchestral rock, and I applied to play for many groups. When I was 13, I had gotten so good at the drums that the Canterlot School of Gifted Unicorns asked me to play the drum-kit with their orchestra for the Summer Sun Celebration concert despite being an Earth Pony.

In my early teens, I came down with the flu which was exacerbated by cigarettes and I developed acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). The fluid buildup in the inner pleural cavity stressed my heart and nearly took my life. After several weeks of mechanical ventilation and thoracic drain, I survived, but with significantly diminished lung function.

After my near death experience, I decided that being a 'bad-ass bully' wasn't how I'd want to be remembered. My consistent shortness of breath and love for making ponies laugh made me a prime target to get bullied. But I was inured, and their teasing, although trying at times, didn't affect me much.

I worked construction for a few years while living with my parents in Apple Loosa before moving to Canterlot when I was 19.

I dropped out of college and enlisted with the Royal Guard. I was stationed at the Canterlot Detention and Justice Center and have been working there ever since. I worked hard in the jail and loved it, but I grew bored with watching inmates. So, I took up music after neglecting my cutie mark for so many years.

The last five years, I have been a Royal Detention Guard by Day and a hard rock musician by night.
