Greylight (The Dancer)

Appearance: Light gray on a slightly darker gray. (All gray shades are light.) Tall, slender, with special wings. Red eyes.<br />She worries about her appearance a lot. Under the Curse of The Six Gifted, she looks only to be 22.

Personality: At first, she will could seem a little shy, but she's actually confident, calculating, vicious, and devastating. Her charm has been called irresistible. But she's never been called loyal.<br />She is a slight mercenary, only doing something if she was told to do it by a close friend, if she wanted to do it, or if she was paid heavily to do it.

Backstory: Greylight seemed almost like every other filly when she was born. Early on, when she was three, she took up dancing, both because she liked it and because her parents wanted her to "have at least a respectable profession." Her father was a politician in Canterlot, and her mother was a respectable lady, well known through-out the town. Hence, Greylight was loved everywhere she went. The dancing wasn't easy for her. She adored her teachers, keeping up with them astonishingly well and practicing her dancing every moment she had to spare in order to try to be better and to try to impress her parents. In one year, her body seemed to become more flexible but her movements were still still ragged. Her parents got worried after a few years, however, as Greylight started to become not only better than she was, but obsessed.<br />One day, she came home with a sapphire necklace, and when her parents asked where she had gotten it, she only replied that she had found it. It was only the partial truth. Yes, she had found it, but after she say another filly dancing in front of her. The filly seemed only to be an illusion, and a teasing illusion. It led her towards an alley and rounded a corner. When Greylight rounded the corner, the filly was gone and in front of her lay the necklace. Greylight's age slowed until she was only 21. She had kept her necklace with her everywhere she had gone, and she had developed a love for bladed weapons from the moment she had found the necklace, using her then graceful moves to become a deadly assassin. Her style of killing was one that reminded her employers of a Dance Battler, except without the music to "dance" to. Her speed was also noted, and during her semi-annual evaluation, her moves seemed to distract a few of the judges. Her parents worried about the presence of blades around Greylight, but they obliged, beginning to fear for her life. Her teacher marveled at Greylight's grace, not knowing it had taken a good deal more years than usual. He taught her more moves, moves that would compliment her dancing profession.<br />Several years later, Greylight began to go a little crazy from believing she wasn't as good as she could be. She set up and pulled off the murder of her parents, making it look like a tragic accident. She eventually also murdered all her former teachers, making it look like they had died in their sleep or been killed on a train or carriage accident.<br />She was around when the 'Elements of Harmony' saved Equestria from eternal darkness. She was also around for Discord's revenge and the Changelings' attack. These showed her her wild ways couldn't continue and get worse. She tried to reform, with hints of her 'mental illness' returning every now and then.<br />But times changed when the princesses disappeared. Equestria fell into a deeper chaos than ever before, and she discovered another five were like her, living incredibly long and talented in something special. The one she met first was the one called the Storyteller, who had just returned to Equestria. She didn't know why he left, and nor did she question it. She herself had almost left. She was basically led to the others by The Storyteller, and she finds herself looking oddly at him now and then. However, being cocky as she is, she generally ignores or denies these potential secret feelings for him.<br />She didn't feel old, yet she was 194. In fact, she still felt 21. And she still had her gracefulness and her blades. She joined the 'Six Gifted,' still not knowing whether or not she wanted to join a certain 'side.' Her insanity hasn't fully been cured, making her not exactly a good pony, and not a mare to be argued against by normal ponies.<br />As for her thoughts on the 'leader' of the Six Gifted, the Composer, Greylight gets frustrated at the Composer's thoughts solely on the problem. She believes that if the Composer were a little more 'open-minded,' she could be accomplish things better. And for the Musician, the Composer's brother, she has a special hatred; she wants someone, something to control beyond her blades, and she wants to control the Musician, as a way to show the Composer what she is made of and what she can do beyond wielding her blades.
