Cutie Mark: Harmonic's cutie mark is a simple unfolded scroll. It represents the fact that he is a scholar, research and science are his passion, and his cutie mark reflects this.<br /><br />The fact that the scroll is open and not just simply a scroll, period, is that it shows the revealing of knowledge, or in other words, a revelation.

Personality: Harmonic is an intellectual pony, with his main focus in life being research, for this reason, he does not often try to make new friends. However, he does tend to be boastful and arrogant when in large groups. This has gotten him into trouble too many times to count.<br /><br />Once he has been befriended, however, he is very loyal and open about his thoughts. He is not afraid to speak his mind to somepony that he knows well.<br /><br />He can be a bit crafty and manipulative at times. He'll do anything to make things go the way he wants them to, and is quite good at it. Being charismatic and intelligent in conjunction leads him to be able to convince other ponies to do quite a few things, which is why he is more of a leader than a follower.<br /><br />At times, however, Harmonic can be quite easy to anger, mood swings are not uncommon. Once he is angry he becomes unpredictable in that it's not known whether or not he will act on that anger.<br /><br />His pent up stress from his many failures is what leads him to behave this way, as well as the fact that losing his wife put quite a dent in his psyche. In situations that are out of his comfort zone (Generally situations he has no control over) he can become quite distressed and anxious, especially over the worry of failure.<br /><br />While he is dealing with scientific studies, research, archaeology, and related things, he is very calm and collected. He takes comfort in the things he knows, and is curious about the things he doesn't know.<br /><br />He is a workaholic, and at times, this leaves him in a very unhealthy state due to lack of sleep/exhaustion/fatigue. Harmonic's dedication is one of his greatest weaknesses as he is persistent even in the face of danger, at time this puts him and the ponies around him in danger.<br /><br />Harmonic has a tendency to be a bit overzealous about his belongings, and is very possessive. Somewhat because he is slow to trust other ponies and somewhat because his research is illegal and is paranoid about being reported to the guards.<br /><br />While teaching other ponies, he can seem a bit enthusiastic, as teaching is truly his passion, on the inside, he has a large amount of compassion for those ponies who wish to learn and blossom, and he does the best he can to assist in that.<br />

Backstory: Harmonic was raised by his father Steel Resolve and his mother Quick Quill. He grew up in a simple farm house. However, his mother worked as an accountant in town, which led her to be away from home most of the time, and his father worked in the mines, which also consumed his time, leaving Harmonic alone for most of the time. Harmonic devoted a lot his time to reading and studying various forms of magic to occupy himself. Other times, he would head outside.<br /><br />He would on occasion go exploring ruins that were in the immediate area, as he was always fascinated with ancient pony societies. He would bring back objects he found inside of the ruins, he had started a collection of artifact, in a manner of speaking, which he kept in the barn.<br /><br />When his father and mother were home, he had a more or less neutral relationship with them, he kept to himself even around his own family, often locking himself in his room to focus only on whatever he was currently working on.<br /><br />Later on, at the urging of his parents, Harmonic spent some time studying at Celestia's school for Gifted Unicorns, where he learned most of what he knows about magic. He often made it into advanced classes, but he was temperamental when it came to interacting with other students. He found it agitating that none of them took their research as seriously as he did. <br /><br />After a while, Harmonic graduated from the school and became a well-known archaeologist. He married a mare he met on a business trip to Manehatten, Silver Wisp. He was madly in love with her, and they eventually saved their money and moved into an average town house in Canterlot, where they lived happily.<br /><br />One day, Harmonic was taking his daily walk around the city when he witnessed a guard committing murder. He ran as fast as he could, but inside, he had a kind of clenched knot in his stomach because he was sure that this guard had seen him.<br /><br />His suspicions were confirmed upon returning to his home, to find his wife dead. It was clear to him that this guard had killed her. He spiraled into depression and madness, going as far as to find a cave and build a kind of lab in it, he kept his wife in a cryo-chamber. That is when he discovered Necromancy, and swore that one day he would bring her back, and restore their lives together. <br /><br />The guard figured this out from rumors spreading around Canterlot, and dispatched a strike-time to infiltrate the cave and apprehend Harmonic, however, Harmonic managed to escape into the woods, where he lived for several years.<br /><br />Many years later, Harmonic emerged, having aged considerably since the last time he was anywhere near civilization. He decided it would be best if he built a house himself on the outskirts of the forest, he knew how to find food and supplies there after having lived there so long from evading law enforcement.<br /><br />He built himself a several room house, and after many months of labor, the house is of a decent size for living. He continues his research here, still looking for a way to hopefully one day bring back his wife.<br /><br />Several years after returning from obscurity, he moved back into town and snagged a job as a teacher, for he had believed that after all these years it is unlikely that the guard would still be actively searching for him. For the most part, he was right about that.<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />
