Cutie Mark: A series of circles interconnected by lines, to show perfect unity.
Personality: Extremely detached. Doesn't manifest or project emotion very well, but instead handles things from a purely logical, truth value based perspective. Is very hard to get an emotional reaction, as she struggles very heavily to react properly to emotional situations. However, does react when those close to her are threatened or troubled, and will become very emotional.

Very innocent. Not quite fully aware of the symbolism behind certain actions and ideas, and thusly, their significance. Has a crude idea of social standards, but doesn't understand the more complex ideas that lie behind them. Thusly, tends to go based what she does understand, or how she thinks things should be.

Very caring. Harbors a deep connection to others around her out of a genuine need to do right, and thusly loves to help others when she can, in any way she can. Harbors a protective side, and a deep desire to protect those who cannot protect themselves.
Backstory: To say Harmony was strange as a child would be the heaviest of understatements. Especially in a place such as Canterlot, where pride and arrogance was nearly all encompassing, it would be strange to see a pony so dedicated to the opposite. But so Harmony was; in the grand scheme of things, she saw such things as not only inconsequential, but detrimental. Her desire was to bring the ponies around her together, an action she was more often than not the target of scorn for, as a child. It didn't get under her skin, but most of her time was thusly spent away from others regardless, engineering a solution to a problem she was fighting very hard to understand, and solve.

Transversing from a filly into a mare, not much had changed for Harmony. She still kept her pleasant attitude, and almost single-minded goal of bringing the ponies of Canterlot together. Over years, however, her attitude began to drift, from those of her peers, to that of their children. Having taken up a tutoring job to make ends meet, she learned very fast that she found a unique joy in helping others, and, when necessary, helping them discover that there was more to life than the negative ideals that Canterlot so often projected. Soon after that realization, she obtained her cutie mark, and understood her special talent; being an interconnected web that brought ponies together.

With this budding realization came one other one, after a few years; simple tutoring wouldn't be enough for her. She set her sights on the School for Gifted Unicorns very quickly, with the goal in mind of entering as a teacher. However, progress would be slow; the competition at the school was extremely tough, to say the least. Twice she would be rejected, only landing a spot after the third time, on the fifth year, teaching students nature magic. It was not the position she had always dreamed of, but for Harmony, nothing could make her happier.
