Appearance: A stocky and tall stallion who has large feathered feet. His mane is long and thick, usually kept in a thick braid. The mane and tail are dark pink with light yellow streaks.

Cutie Mark: His cutie mark is one large heart with smaller hearts surrounding it. Symbolizing his soft heart and a passion for his dreams.

Personality: Heartbeat is an absolute and utter sweetheart. Always ready to give hugs and kisses to his friends, he has so much affection to give it is unbelievable. He has a very positive outlook on life, especially considering his biggest dream: To become a Princess. He admires Equestrian female royalty, he finds they are wise, smart, beautiful and that is something he aspires to be as well!<br /><br />Despite these dreams he is also a talented singer, having a lovely voice with which he performs for the joy of others. His voice is soft and kind, comforting. He sings for people to bring them joy. Singing soft and warm words for ponies that need it the most. In other words, he performs at orphanages, hospitals and wherever he is needed.

Backstory: Born and raised in Canterlot his parents are ponies of very high society and brought their son up in the same manner. Heartbeat was taught the best manners his parents could muster and wished him to become something big and well known, something to be especially proud of. Even if Heartbeat's parents love him dearly they have been disappointed at his strange behavior. <br /><br />Heartbeat always loved to join his mother when she went dress shopping. Whenever he had the chance he would try out the dresses rather than the suits meant for gentleponies. He felt more beautiful in mare clothing and started to embrace that in him. Heartbeat's parents do not agree on it as they started to make excuses to leave him home with his nanny instead of joining in the high society parties. Catching on their intentions he felt somewhat betrayed but his kind heart understood their reasons. So he decided to move from home.<br /><br />Ponyville, the place for all the kindest and most interesting ponies it seemed. He settled there and decided to take on many of his dreams. Singing lessons and actually buying those lovely dresses he just adored to wear. He felt lovely and beautiful. It wasn't until he had the chance to see Princess Celestia in real life that he started to realize his true dreams. He wanted to be like her. Wise, kind and absolutely stunningly beautiful, he wanted to be a Princess!<br /><br />That is hardly happening, unfortunately, but he continues to pursue his biggest dream while bringing joy and hope to other with his songs.
