Appearance: Howard is a dark blue earth pony, probably because he works blue. He has a long, shaggy brown mane, a big nose, and a skinny neck. He hides his bright blue eyes behind a pair of sunglasses and a snarky smirk.

Cutie Mark: Howard's cutie mark is a microphone because he is the greatest broadcaster in the history of Equestria.

Personality: While on the air, Howard has a very abrasive personality. He is known for telling jokes and stories that cause outrage amongst the more prudish ponies in the land, asking probing questions of his guests, and having the ability to get them to say things they probably shouldn't. Off the air, Howard is a very sensitive and generous pony. He is fond of animals, photography, and chess.

Backstory: Howard was born in the zebra town of Hoofsvelt. He would describe his life there as hellish, nightmarish, and overall unpleasant. It's no fun getting beat up by zebras every day. Despite his setbacks, Howard managed to get accepted into the University of Canterlot's communications program. After obtaining his degree, Howard bounced around Equestria for many years working at different radio stations trying to find his voice - the one that would make him unique. When he did, he became a pony of great renown. But he made enemies along the way in the form of rival broadcasters and radio station executives all envious of his success and ready to sabotage him at any moment. But Howard knew that if he stuck to his guns and continued to strive for greatness, he would reach it. Today, he is celebrated by many as the pony who changed the face of broadcasting forever.
