Personality: Like his grandson his grandson, Iceberg, is a determinant, who'll never give up or back down, no matter what the situation.<br />He's a nice guy, and likes to socialize, but doesn't like it when he's disrespected, especially by younger ponies.<br />He's also a strategist, he focuses with help from books he's read and uses his knowledge to his advantage.

Backstory: Iceberg Chill helped raise Ice Blizzard in the Land of Ice. He was formally renowned among the Ice Clan for his extreme knowledge and courage. He taught his grandson, Ice Blizzard, how to fight and protect himself with his hooves since IB was a colt. He taught IB all the fighting moves he knows and showed him how to handle himself well.<br /><br />IC wanted to make a difference for his homeland, and found his calling in the Equestrian Military (before IB was born) at the age of 25 and has served in the military for 25 years. When he first started out as a new recruit, he was shunned and ridiculed because he'd always read books. At the time, everypony had called him a nerd with no hope for the team.<br /><br />But IC never backed down, he always showed the utmost respect to his superiors and was chosen first for most combat drills. As well, being unable to control ice, due to being a pegasus, he was fascinated with chemical weaponry, and formed his own kind of style called, "Combat Chemistry."<br /><br />With his natural ice magic, and chemical expertise, IC rose through the military ranks and became a general at the age of 50. Everypony on his same team who had shunned him at first, then gave him credit and respect where it was due. And it was IC's attitude of determination that got his team through most of their situations.<br /><br />He had all his war stories archived in a special book that is now in Ice Blizzard's possession. Blizzard got his grandpa's book in the mail when he was 8 years old, and has held onto it ever since.<br /><br />Unfortunately, the reason IC send his grandson the book, was because he knew that this mission would probably be his last.<br /><br />IC was carrying out a special OP with his team in an extremely crowded hostile environment. IC and his team were surrounded and had to fend for themselves as long as they could until reinforcements came to assist them.<br /><br />When the assistance finally came to their rescue, IC knew that there was only enough time for the rest his team to escape without him. When they said, "Come on let's go!" He didn't move and kept fighting. He knew that as long as he stood to fight, that his team would live long enough to escape, and after they had left nopony had seen any sign of IC again and he was reported M.I.A. (Missing in Action) from that moment onward.<br /><br />When Ice Blizzard had learned of his grandfather's disappearance, he decided to carry his legacy on through his adventures. Knowing that his grandfather's determination is probably what had kept him alive, Blizzard chose to stay just as determined through his life and never back down.
