Appearance: Dark red coat with a long, wavy black mane(however, her mane and tail is naturally straight, it's only wavy thanks to a product) and tail that's streaked with white. Her bangs are parted with a short strand of white hair hanging between her eyes. Her eyes are a very dark brown and a little narrower than Equestrian eyes. Usually wears rose pink eye shadow and a purple silk scarf decorated with white vine designs that conceals her family's crest(which is a trio of stylized dragon claws intertwined with vines).<br /><br />Her formal attire is a mostly indigo kimono with a sky-blue obi. The floral designs are green, lavender, and white. She wears a lotus flower in her hair and the bottom part of her tail is tied with a lotus decoration.

Cutie Mark: Scroll with a letter A from the alphabet and the kana for "A". She speaks five different languages(Japanese(her native language), English, French, German, and Arabian) and can translate Latin text.

Personality: Due to her proper upbringing and her origins, Kanon carries an air of haughtiness with her that makes some shun away from her. She is prim and proper and often flinches away from displays of bad mannerisms. <br /><br />While some haughtiness is apparent in her real personality, Kanon is actually quite sweet. She's good around other kids younger than she is and patient with her friends. Kanon is also generous, often using her family's wealth to purchase expensive items for various occasions. As she has been used in the past for things like this, she often questions the pony in question before agreeing.<br /><br />As kind and mature as she is, she keeps a lot of problems locked away in her heart. Despite being surrounded by good friends and family, she cries alone just for the sake of looking strong. If her emotions reach a fever pitch, all her troubles spill out like a waterfall in the form of tears.<br /><br />She never shys away from flirting with and seducing stallions to get her way.<br /><br />Kanon is a charming pony person with the skills of a diplomat. If the need ever comes, she's good at pulling others' strings with words and the art of seduction.<br /><br />Her greatest fear is rejection.

Backstory: In the country of Neighpon, Kanon lived a rich and comfortable life with a family who ran a successful clothes designing business. Her parents, her four younger sisters, and she lived in a medium-sized pagoda that had been around for a little more than a century. <br /><br />She was a popular filly around adults and kids. Having come from a rich family in addition to being a kind spirit, adults adored her and the younger fillies and colts looked up to her. Although she was popular, she was never drawn to the "cool" clique, finding their ways vulgar and unsophisticated. They left her alone for the most part.<br /><br />Kanon's life was luxurious, but for the longest time she kept a secret all to herself: Although she's the heir to her family's fortune, she's not all that interested in running a business. She found herself drawn to the language of Equestria and studied it constantly(which eventually earned her Cutie Mark). Latin and the language of Saddle Arabia and other countries soon followed and she began to develop a desire to become a translator. She became afraid that she would be disowned.<br /><br />As she got older, she began to look into becoming a foreign exchange student. She began to debate in her head whether to tell or not, often spacing out. Eventually, she worked up the courage to ask and to confess her disinterest in inheriting the family fortune. They agreed to honor her wishes as long she promised to inherit a portion of it, which she agreed to. And she set off to Equestria.<br /><br />When she got to Equestria, she knew to not expect everything to be all sunshine and rainbows. What she didn't expect was to get bullied in her new school. She had never experienced it before, so it was very devastating for her, especially when she kept forgetting that it wasn't necessary to bow to her teachers in class, among other things. She was so used to being popular that it all hit her like a tsunami and an avalanche all mixed into one. <br /><br />Two months into her exchange year, Kanon was ready to quit. She had enough, she was beginning to have dark thoughts, and she was secretly on the verge of breaking. It wasn't until a unicorn and pegasus finally pushed their way through the teasing crowd and offered their friendship to her. <br /><br />The pegasus, North Shine, tried her best to open up to Kanon and, though she stumbled a little bit, got through to her. The unicorn, Star Rain, was harder to get to know because she was so quiet. It took some talking before she revealed her warmer side to her.
