Cutie Mark: A long time ago, Kestrel had an old style microphone as his mark. It was to symbolize is flexible and nearly perfect singing voice.

Personality: Kestrel is the kind to always be timid, always want to stay in the background. He is not remarkably tall, but he is not terribly short. He tries his hardest to hide his accent, so he usually is a stallion of few words.

Backstory: On a cold winter's night, in Yensk, a town just outside Stalliongrad, a colt was born to a poor family of farmers. They toiled day and night for meaningless pay, hardly surviving on the land. Kestrel had a tough young life, often getting involved with the wrong crowd, soon being labelled as a juvenile delinquent. He hung out with a gang called the Stingers. Not to partake in their wrongdoings, but in order to not be alone. He was the first to gain his cutie mark in the gang, but with such a new and exciting chapter beginning, he would have to pay for it. Embarrassed and enraged, the gang bore down on him, demanding explanation. He tried to explain, but they were too far gone. Clutching a kitchen knife, one of the unicorns flayed the flesh from his flank, using the mark as a guide to then crudely carve the image into the poor stallion's eye. Time passed and Kestrel left home, moving to a town farther to the west, Manehattan.
