Appearance: Name's Knight Shadow, though a lot of people, Mayor Mare included, have misspelled my name as Night Shadow, which is fine... simple mistake and it makes me seem like I'm Luna's shadow, kinda apt considering I'm the reincarnation of her former lover, Shadow Heart who she called Her Shadow. Anyway, I'm approximately as tall as Celestia at the shoulder, though when I puff out my wings I'm a slight bit taller than her with my six foot wing span. Uhm... hm. Black fur, though not as dark as some I've seen wandering around, Nightmare Moon specifically. I don't have a Cutie-Mark so much as what my people call a Warriors Mark. It still indicates my destiny, but since it's not a straight forward picture like most Cutie-Marks, it's open to interpretation. My talent is using magic to defend people, which sure, makes me sound like some sort of Alicorn-Wolf Diety thing, but I am by far and away from being an Alicorn. I'm a wolf, pure and simple. All creatures have some form of magic, and a wolf's magic comes from their power of will over the forces of nature around them. Kinda like Applejack and other Earth Ponies in their subtle manipulation of the earth to grow crops quicker than natural or a Pegasus' magic to be able to move clouds. Unicorn Magic is more open and view-able, where as Earth Pony, Pegasus and Wolf magic is all more subtle. Not to mention, we use cards to help us. Most of the time they're cards that have naturally occurring circumstances sealed within them, again, by magic... and I trailed off there. Anyways, yellow eyes and a small scar across my left eye from just below my... mane line? I prefer to call it hair, right before my ears, but I guess for the purposes of this mane line works, but right below my mane line to just above my jaw. Sparring accident with my brother. Wings, as I've said earlier. And, as of recently, a solid gold right foreleg. It looks mechanical, but... it's not. It's a wolf magic gauntlet that draws on the life energy of its wearer and the energy around it. It looks solid, as in can't be bent, but it is in fact held together by magic going from one part to the other so it moves like my left foreleg. It also has slots in it that are shaped like the Cutie-Marks of Twilight and the gang, and none of us have any idea why. Other than all that as far as physical appearance, I'm typically wearing a long coat designed by Rarity to hide my wings but still allow for free movement of my tail and I usually have a bag strapped around my waist, kinda like a belt? The bag has a pouch that holds my specific cards, which I take out using the gauntlet since it has these really cool appendages that can bend and pinch things to pick them up. So cool. Anyways, that's... about it as far as me physically.

Cutie Mark: Not Cutie Mark, Warriors Mark, and... it's hard to describe. Sort of like a piece of a crescent moon with the remaining tips bent backwards and an arrow head pointing towards my back. In the Wolf Language, it means Magical Guardian, so I suppose it might look like a pony wearing armor that's set on a star back ground or something.

Personality: My personality is simple, I'm a protector. You hurt my friends, you answer to me. Unless the Equestrian Guard get there first. Then they can handle it. Um... I'm kinda sneaky, and a bit clumsy, so stealth isn't my forte, though I have snuck into and out of Canterlot Castle a couple times to read books on pony lore. I'm loyal, but what wolf isn't. Generous doesn't describe me at all, since most wolves only share with their pack, but since I live in Ponyville at the moment, I suppose they're my pack. I suppose I'm kind, Fluttershy says I am anyway. I mean, I'll help out where I'm needed and if someone's hurting I'll comfort them, but only if I see it and know I can help. Honesty is one of my motos. If you can't be honest with even your worst enemy, you can't be honest with yourself, which, in the end, could hurt you in the long run. I like a good joke, and Pinkie pulls the best pranks I've ever seen. I'll have to remember that lightning one to try on my father one of these days. As for magic, I'm pretty skilled. I have the largest collection of cards of any wolf even though my specialty is with the fang swords, specially designed swords that we hold in our mouths. They have slots that we can slip our canine teeth into to hold onto them when we're running. Anyway, above all, I care deeply for my Ponyville friends and anyone they consider friend. I'll protect them with my life, no matter how difficult it might be. Also... don't tell anypony I said this... but I kinda have a crush on Twilight.

Backstory: Well, firstly, I was born. Kinda gotta be born to live in Equestria, ya know. Anyways, I didn't meet Twilight or the others until I was around... 18? Same age as Twilight I think, just before she got her wings. Kinda cool that she's an Alicorn now. Well, saying I didn't meet them is kinda a stretch. I'd seen them around, doing friendship stuff and the like. Mostly kept out of sight, hung out on rooftops and such, catching some sun. Only met them by mistake when I was wandering the Everfree Forest. Came across a pack of Timber Wolves that decided to maul me. Rainbow Dash saved my life and Fluttershy nursed me back to health, but it was Twilight that was always there while I slept, either reading books to me or making sure I wasn't suffering from a fever. She doesn't know it, but I was sort of awake the whole time. Completely awake when she was passed out with her head on the side of the bed. Totally cute. She'd probably banish me to the moon or something for saying that out loud, but she was.<br /> <br />Anyways, after I got healthy again, I had intended to leave and head home, back to Hollow Shades, but Twilight and the others wanted to learn more about me, so I stuck around. Eventually ended up living with Twilight but had a stint at Sugar Cube Corner in a guest room Pinkie had upstairs and a longer stint out at Sweet Apple Acres. The library was comfortable, we even found a little secret nook inside that we converted into a reading room slash bedroom for me. Eventually, I did go back to Hollow Shades, but when I came back, I had some of my things and some books on Wolf Lore for Twilight to study. Even some Wolf Clan designs that Rarity could include in her designs. She loved them and they look great, wish everyone could see them. Anyways, after that, we stayed in the Library until Tirek blew it up. Jerk. Burned all my books too. Well, the ones we couldn't salvage. The ones we could salvage are holed up somewhere in the new castle. As for me, after Twilight became a princess, she needed guards, so I volunteered. Still live in the castle, but... things have gotten a little more cozy.<br /> <br />Anyways, before everything, so I suppose I'm telling you the beginning after giving you the middle and end, I was just a wolf from the Shadow Clan. Yeah, I know, my last name is Shadow. Well, that's about typically how it works for wolves. Every wolf in the Shadow Clan has a last name that is some form of Shadow. Dark, Darkness, Shade... you name it. Only the royal family has the last name of Shadow, though. Yeah, that makes me a prince, but I'm the only winged wolf in my family, so I'm a bit of a prize. It's the same with the Fire and Water Clans too. They have their royal families, though the Fire Clans last names tend to be Flare, Flame or Burst and the Water Clan tends to be Ice, Frost or Stream. Only the Water Clan Royals have a different name for each member, and their current leaders name is River. Well, Blue River, but she's nice. Funny, but nice. Flare Blitz, the Fire Clan prince is a bit of a jerk, but it's a nice jerk. Friendly rivalry status jerk. Anyways, I came across the pony gang when I was wandering through Ponyville to check things out, see how things was. Didn't intend to get attacked my Timber Wolves, but now I'm the Captain of Twilight's Royal Guard. Life is good.
