Appearance: Leaf looks older than he is. Worry-lines crease his eyes, eyes that betray fear and sadness. He's of average height, and a bit on the skinny side for an earth pony. A dusty brown coat and a dull yellow mane, this pony is a good argument for clothes and accessories. He carries a satchel with him wherever he goes.
Cutie Mark: A mouse looking determinedly at cheese. It represents ambition, but directed towards smaller goals. Big desire aimed at little dreams.
Personality: Leaf is all about self-preservation, not due to lack of morals, but fear. He'd shove another pony into harms way if it meant saving himself, but would still feel bad about it.
He's always been a greedy pony, but it's more about the challenge of the acquisition than the ownership, so sharing with other ponies is not unheard of.
He can be a bit bitter and pessimistic at times, and can be a bit trying. The world has done nothing but deal him bad hand after bad hand.
Backstory: As a young colt, Leaf wanted to be a artist. His father was a banker, and his mother a stay-at-home alchoholic. Always a disappointment to his parents, he was kicked out of the house and forced to fend for himself on the streets.

Rather than follow his dream of creating art, he wheeled and dealed, doing whatever it took to make bit here and there, until he had a roof over his head.

Shortly after he settled in and began to have dreams of a normal life, he met a mare. Tulip Breezes was her name, a pegasus mailmare. After months of gazing wistfully at her, he finally asked her out, and soon followed a whole new world of happiness for Leaf. He'd never felt true love before, not from his parents, not from his friends. This was life! The two of them happily dated for two years, him pining for her whilst she was away delivering mail to the remote reaches of Equestria.

One day, she never returned. He waited every day for four years for her to return, his soul slowly crumpling, the harsh loveless world returning. It has now been 6 years since she disappeared.
