Liberta (Soothing Serum)

Appearance: Liberta hails from the Chrysalis Hive, and therefore shares its markings - a dull blue carapace and light blue eyes. A large scar covers her left cheek.<br /><br />Her main disguise, Soothing Serum, is a unicorn with a UN Blue coat, teal eyes, and a mane and tail consisting of a very bright grey and dull red. They are both cropped short.

Cutie Mark: Liberta picked the asklepian as her cutie mark, as it was the first thing that came to mind. (The asklepian, also known as the Rod of Asclepius, is a rod with a serpent entwined around it.)

Personality: Unlike many of her kin, Liberta is fascinated with ponykind. She considers their inclination towards tolerance and kindness admirable features, and strives towards those traits herself.<br /><br />However, as a result of conflicts between her and her Hive, she has grown something of a rebellious streak - inquisitive to a fault, she often becomes belligerent when ignored or feels lines have been crossed. This aggressiveness towards authority and perceived wrongs often gets her in trouble with authorities and employers.<br /><br />She's also considered somewhat naive. What she knows of the real world is what she learned from her Hive. This lack of knowledge often leads to overly optimistic views, a blatant indication of her idealistic view of the pony race.<br /><br />Unknown to most, she has grown paranoid. She understands that the Hive does not deal with traitors well, and as such has grown wary. Staying in one place for too long worries her, making holding a job, or gaining friends, a bit of a challenge. This has lead her to a crisis. With an uncertain future, and with a past she constantly fears will catch up with her, Liberta has become lost, unsure of where to go next.

Backstory: Though born into the same system as many of her kin, Liberta was much bolder in questioning Hive teachings. She often landed herself in trouble for these inquiries, however with age she only grew more stubborn and quarrelsome. <br /><br />Eventually she realized that she had reached an impasse - her stubborn refusal to accept Hive teachings only caused her to be punished, and the Hive seemed to shrug off her arguments as swiftly as she posed them. Deciding that she would only become even more of a target as she grew, she decided to escape.<br /><br />Though escaping in itself was a simple task, she was caught soon after. Resisting against the guards which found her, she was able to outrun them, though not uninjured. A lucky strike was able to pierce her exoskeleton - though it has healed, the wound still remains. She considers it a reminder of the Hive's tyranny.<br /><br />After escaping the clutches of the Hive, Liberta began to work on finding a talent - a necessity for surviving amongst ponykind. Juggling this new quest with her evasion of the Hive, she eventually discovered her ability in the field of medicine after successfully nursing an injured pony back to health.<br /><br />Now, she wanders from town to town, posing as a traveling doctor.
