Cutie Mark: Sword crossing a bolt of lightning. This is appropriate, as he is talented in fighting and swordplay and uses these to protect and help others.

Personality: : Lightning Blade is a strong yet gentle soul who is always happy to help others. He sees himself as a hero among ponies, always trying his best to protect the citizens of Equestria. He hates evil and corruption and sees it as his own code of honor to defend the world from it. As a result, he can be a little rash during desperate situations, and never gives up on something important, even when it would be in his own best interest. He can also have a bit of a temper too. Though he can be reckless at times, most often he has a laid back, calm attitude. While most of his talent is based on physical strengths and attributes, he shows cunning too, being able to think out detailed plans, however, he isn’t afraid of throwing the plan out the window when need be. Though he is smart, he can be narrow-minded and stubborn, unwilling to compromise when he thinks he’s right. He can also be cocky, which causes him to mess up quite a bit. He know to take orders from superiors, but isn't afraid to disobey orders when he feels the need to. He is very kind and out-going, as well as adventurous and fun.

Backstory: Lightning Blade, though born in Cloudsdale, spent much of his colthood in between Cloudsdale and Canterlot, where his father worked as a member of the Royal Guard. L.B. always looked up to his father, and he strove to make him proud. Lightning learned many things from his father, the most notably being how to fight, both with his hooves and a sword. Since he was a colt, Lightning dreamed of making a difference in the world… <br /> One day, while in Cloudsdale, he saw a group of bullies picking on one his classmates at school. This made Lightning so angry that he tried to fight all four of them…and promptly got the piss beaten out of him. However, after the scuffle, Lightning saw how appreciative his classmate was. At that moment, Lightning Blade got his cutie mark. Lightning realized that he was destined to help other ponies, no matter what he had to do, he would be a hero.<br /> Years later, Lightning worked as a member of the Royal Guard. As such, he wants to prove himself and make his father proud. However, he was disappointed to find that being a guard didn't show him the action that he was hoping for. Feeling useless, he kept training with his sword, trying to be prepared for when he could show other ponies his true potential. <br /> Nowadays, he still works as a guard, but uses vacation days to go searching for adventure, trying to make both his father and himself proud.<br />
