Appearance:

Limelight is a light orange earth pony with a moderate crimson/burgundy curly/wavy mane and tail (on the more pinkish/brighter side) and turquoise, childlike circular eyes. Her hooves are a light yellow.
She often wears either a purple/blue/indigo cowboy hat and black glasses. (Since she's me, she's gonna have to be short sighted). Body-wise, she's a little smaller and slimmer than average, but has relatively powerful hind legs through training.
If I were to rank her looks based on myself, I'd give her maybe a 7. She looks, sounds and seems younger than she is.

She doesn't wear much makeup unless she is performing or in a professional/high-class environment.

Cutie Mark:

Limelight's cutie mark came about through careful consideration.
I am a passionate dancer and theatrical performer, and I am also currently studying an arts management course.
Hence the spotlight lamp-like appearance of my cutie mark (stage performing along with stage management).
My real name, I found out, can mean "bitter" or "sour" in certain languages, and thus, "Limelight" ( a position of public attention or notice/ a type of lamp, formerly used in stage lighting, in which light is produced by heating lime to white heat) was born (since limes are bitter/sour, this is a little bit of a play on words).

Should I get more free time in the near future, I shall add a little spiral shape to the spotlight to give it a bit more personality.

Personality:

Limelight is... me.
As I am mildly autistic, I suppose she would be too.
She's the generally cheerful, friendly, talkative, humorous, spontaneous, quirky, giggly and slightly hyperactive type, especially when with her closest friends. However, she's quick to anger, holds powerful grudges, a sore loser in arguments, easily triggered, argumentative, overzealous, somewhat irritating, easily distracted, and at times anti-social.

She's a creative type, passionate about the arts, politics, the humanities and performance but still remains openly curious about other subjects and often finds herself lost in documentaries about anything from wildlife to space travel. In her free time, she dances, goes to the gym or for a walk, recites lines in her bedroom, watches Netflix or anime, plays with her several cats, daydreams for hours on end, draws or sleeps.

Although she is mildly autistic and struggles with understanding empathy at times, she has grown to feel strong empathetic feelings, albeit in a different way from most, and she is thus easily moved by sad or bittersweet stories, movies or moments and will cry very easily. However, if she does not relate to or understand a character or person in one way or another, she may be completely numb to their emotions and can come off as somewhat cold or cruel without necessarily meaning to.

Backstory:

She doesn't have much of a backstory. She just has a terrible immune system and often ends up pretty sick or in the hospital. She almost died as a newborn from a heart problem and she struggles to socialise with her peers due to her fear of rejection and loneliness that she feels will plague her throughout her life. Due to her (albeit mild) autism, she is emotionally exhausted day after day from trying to fit in, and social situations tire her out, even though she's prone to loneliness and will cling onto her best friends like a lifeline.

She has very supportive and a little obsessive parents who want her to experience everything, and she's a lot closer to her parents than most people are.

Depending on the roleplay, she will take whatever role I feel suits the story. Her backstory and personality can and will change to suit my will whenever I want it to, but when she's not in a roleplay, she's simply me. I like to act, so she can act for me and play a different role when I want her to.
