• Lunaris Adamantine

    Klopp

    • Age: 24

      Gender: Male

      Species: Non-Pony

Appearance: Lunaris is of a species not in the show itself.

He is a Chamrosh, a mixture of a bird and a dog. A very large build, with large blue wings, transitioning to a blonde at the tip.

He has blonde hair upon his head, and ponytail as well. His face is a mixture of white fur and feathers, which becomes blue as it descends down his neck. Then his body is mostly feathers around the arms, which have gripping talons, and below the wings. Then the back half of his body is made of only fur, including his blue and blonde tail.

He is always wearing a blue crystal necklace, and his glasses as well.

Personality: Tends to be fairly closed to others, at least until he gets to know them. Sometimes, depending on the circumstances, he might be outgoing with someone almost instantly. Most of the time, though, he tends to avoid contact that is unnecessary.

Once he does get to know someone, his true personality begins to shine. Others are always enjoying his joking manner, harmless pranks, and unique humor.

As friendly as he might be, he still doesn't have too many friends. The friendships he does make don't last, and the fact that he is always moving from place to place doesn't help. He is quite lonely, and wishes he could have a companion for his travels.

Apart from relations with others, he is also a very hard worker. If a task needs doing, he gets it done as quickly and efficiently as possible. He dislikes when things are not finished on time. One of the things he does in his travels is help others with things they need. Helping to build, move, carry, or whatever might need doing.

His main focus is his determination to find out where he came from, and finally meet his family. No matter who he helps, or befriends, no one ever stops him from his quest to find his past.

Backstory: In a forest north of where the Griffons dwell, Lunaris was found by a group of Griffons who were camping and discussing ways to make more bits. He was unconscious, and while similar to griffons, he was clearly something different.

They took him to the village, took care of him, and told him that he was simply a Griffon. That he belonged with them and their culture. And at first he accepted this. Acting like a Griffon, walking like a Griffon, trying to obsess over Bits like a Griffon.

But, there was a problem. He wasn't interested in anything they were doing. Not a single care for bits. Soon he was also starting to question how he looked quite distinct from the Griffons. They had beaks, where he had a snout. Their tails were slender, with a tuft at the end, while he had a larger, bushier tale. Also, his size was much bigger than they were.

With all of this, he began asking questions. They finally told him that he was found in the forest, and they didn't know anything more than that he was not really a Griffon. He decided to leave and find out for himself what he was. The ones who took care of him, calling him their son, told him not to leave. But they couldn't stop him. He thanked them for taking care of him, then flew off into the rest of the world.

After a lot of flying, and not much finding, he came across a city of clouds called Cloudsdale. Immediately it seemed like a place he might fit in, so he flew inside and found the Pegasus who resided there.

He hadn't seen anything more than Griffons and random assortments of animals, so these ponies he discovered were very different to him. He tried to ask them anything about his species, if they knew what he might be. But all of them simply said he was a Griffon, and provided no help at all.

After spending a fair amount of time in Cloudsdale, and learning about the weather systems they created, he went off to another place. A place they told him about called 'Canterlot', where there might be information about his species.

He was interested in meeting the Unicorns. A strange wingless-pony with magical abilities. He hadn't know of other sentient creatures that couldn't fly, and he had a hard time imagining how they might be able to cope like that. But once he arrived, he realized that flight wasn't a necessary skill to thrive.

Immediately he saw them using magic to do just about everything. From lifting cups of coffee, to fixing a leaky pipe. To him this was extremely fascinating. He admired them for a bit, before moving on to the Library. He tried to search for any kind of information that might explain who he was, but wasn't having any luck with so many hundreds of thousands of books.

Eventually another one of the Unicorns approached him, looking at him like she had seen fifty ghosts, and a flying pig. She asked him a question, "A-are you... a Chamrosh?"

He looked back at her with amazement. He had never heard of a Chamrosh before, but maybe that IS what he was. He replied after a moment of silent awkwardness, "I don't know... am I?"

They started talking, and she said her name was Starlight Diamond, and she showed him some books regarding an ancient race of Chamroshes. A creature that was a mixture of Birds and Canines, that used to fertilize the land and grow large forests.

The description fit him perfectly, but all they could find in these books was more and more stuff labeled "Legend". It wasn't helping him find his past at all. Lunaris decided to leave Canterlot and try to find anymore information about Chamroshes elsewhere in the world. Starlight Diamond wanted to come along, but her obligations in Canterlot as a Magic History teacher made her required to stay.

Since that time, Lunaris has gone from city to town to village, all in search of a lost ancient race, that may or may not even exist. But that doesn't stop him from trying his hardest, because until he finds them his future will remain his past.
