Backstory: Malik was born in Canterlot. His mother is Neerah, and his father is Grayson Stone, making Doc his half brother. Growing up Malik was taught necrocorn magic by his mother, unbeknownst to his father. She also taught him the history of their species. He learned how to use his unicorn magic in school and through his father. His mother always did her best to hide Maliks powers from her husband, sometimes having to manipulate his memories if he saw something he shouldnt have, always leaving Malik confused. He didnt understand why he was different and why it was bad. One day when Neerah was out, Malik showed his father some dark magic. He asked where he learned that and Malik replied that mommy had taught him. When she came home, Grayson confronted his wife and demanded to know why she was teaching their son dark magic. Panicking, Neerah attempted to use her memory spell, but Grayson had used magic to block his mind. Again he demanded to know the truth. Neerah realizing she had no choice, told him everything. She begged him to help her find a way to release her people from their prison. Feeling lied to and manipulated, Grayson told her to leave. She pleaded with him. He got angry and it turned into a fight. Watching his parents fighting, Malik got upset and released a wave of dark magic blasting both of his parents backwards. Getting up, Grayson was furious. He told his once trusted love to take Malik and get out, and dont come back. Weeping bitterly, she grabbed Malik and ran. When she was gone, Grayson fell to the floor and sobbed. After a few hours he thought about her plan. He realized he couldnt let her goal come to pass. He set out to find her and stop her. It was difficult but he finally tracked her down. He found her on the outskirts of the kingdom in the forest. When he caught her, Malik was not with her. He was off fetching wood for a fire. Grayson did the most painful thing imaginable and he cast a powerful spell to imprison her by opening a door to a pocket in space and sealing her in it. The effort of casting the spell nearly killed him. He lay on the ground panting when he heard a cry of rage. Malik had returned just in time to see what his father had done. He realeased a terrible wave of dark energy and hurled it at his father. Then, thinking him dead, he ran away sobbing, vowing that one day he would find a way to release his mother and help her achieve her goal. He wandered the earth improving his skills, learning new magic, learning about himself and his race. He learned more abkut the dark world and its secrets. His magic became formidable. He became more and more bitter and vengeful over the years, and the more he delved into the secrets of the dark world the darker his soul became until he was black inside. Pure evil. He developed his own plans and achievements and his goals changed over time. He still planned to free his mother but now for a different purpose.

Character- Malik can be summed up in one word: evil.
