Personality: Maple tries to be nice, but will always fight for what she thinks is the best. She won't start conversations if it is not necessary, but will gladly speak to anyone who approaches her.

Backstory: Maple was born in Manehattan to a family of teachers. She was raised to love all forms of literature and had developed sharp learning skills as a result of her parents constant attention to her education and care. However,she did become quite sheltered because of this, and never really got to do anything on her own. <br /><br />She began to write fiction stories during middle school, and got to present one such story to her teachers as a project. She was accused of plagiarizing,but nopony knew what she might have been copying, and her parents were able to confirm that she wrote the story herself (After a whole needlessly complicated process).<br /><br />She was granted a scholarship in Canterlot University, where she majored in creative writing. There, in the university,far from her parents, she learned to better take care of herself. <br /><br />After about 4 well-received novels, Maple moved to the humble town of Ponyville to find a little more peace and quiet... only to be met by the usual craziness of today's Ponyville. She's grown quite accustomed to it, though, and thanks to it, has become much more light-hearted.
