Melon
By Uri
Age: 18 years old
Gender: Male
Species: Earth Pony
Appearance: He is an sea blue Earth Pony who always has a challenging and scoffing look in his brown eyes. Compared to the others in his age, Uri is a little shorter than the standard average height, but he doesn't hesitate in beating down whoever mock about his height. Both his black mane and tail were dyed purple as a sign of rebellion, but somehow a few strands of black could still be seen. There are a triangular cut, old scars snipped from fights, on both of his ears.
Cutie Mark: A green melon with a four-edged shuriken star on it. He lives in a peaceful village, located in the distant mountain top and remained unknown to any other villagae in Equestria. Growing melons is his family's business. He is quite unsatisfied about the necesity of taking over the family melon business one day, since he is the only colt in the family. Then one day, he discovered that his family were originally skillful in using shurikens during wartime. As he starts to learn how to throw shuriken stars himself, his need for more power grow as well.

His family tried to persuade him that the shuriken star-throwing skills were no longer necessary since the war was over. In rejection and arrognance that his parents didn't recognize his other potential, Melon threw a shuriken in an attempt to show how gifted he is. The cutting shuriken hit its mark and split a melon in half. At that moment, Melon's cutie mark appeared.

In astonishment, his parents couldn't do anything else but to watch their son becoming to be blood-thirsty for battle.
Personality: Deceiving and sometimes cruel toward both of his enemies and friends, Melon always wears a challenging and scoffing look on his face. As a genius who mastered the art of shuriken stars at young age, he is quite proud or smug about the fact that he can beat older Ponies in duels. Although sometimes tricks and cheats were his methods of winning a victory, his opponents could hardly find proofs. No matter how battle-thirsty he is, he always knows his limits and never wants to get into the fights that he didn't think he will win. In a way, he wants to see himself as a leader who led his team into battle, though there seem to be a lack of charisma on him. After attempts in wanting to be leaders, Melon found out that hardly anybody expected him to be the leader. The fact stunned him, but it didn't stop him from being forceful toward the others.
Backstory: A great war broke out between the tribes, forcing some ponies to gather their stuffs and ran to hide in the Misty Mountain. At there, they found sanctuary and eventually built a village among the tallest and thickest trees in the history of Equestria. Even though the war had officially ended outside, the villages decided not to leave. Many years later, the village was then forgoteen and completly isolated from the outside world. Since dangerous creatures roamed and thick mists covered the Misty Mountain, nobody dared to approach or even wanted to venture into the forest. Thus, they never knew such isolated village existed.

Lives continued in the isolated village called Cloud Viallge, where only Earth Ponies could be seen. At there, younger generations like Melon were borned, never knowing what the world outside of Cloud Viallge would be like. Since their ancestores witnessed the horror of war, unique self defenses and fighting styles were passed down from generations to generations. Melon's family seemed to be like an ordinary farmer family at first, then the colt discovered scrolls of how powerful they would with their infamous shuriken stars-throwing skills. After some practices, Melon found out he was a genius at the skills his ancestors had been wielding.

Against his parents' wishes to not to be involved in combats-fighting practices, Melon became to be unstoppable in delving more into combats and battles instead of wanting to take over the melon farm. His thirst to prove himself in real combat sometimes makes him wish a real battle would take place on Misty Mountain.

However, when foreign troops with advanced weaponry suddenly attacked and ravaged the Cloud Village, Melon could only watch powerlessly as his parents were killed mercilessly under their hooves. Shells rained down like hails, breaking houses down into piles of rubbles. Cloud Village, without any weapons that could match that of the foreign troops or basic defenses for how isolated that they had became, were destroyed. Just destroying the Cloud Village wasn't enough for the troops. Not only did they searched and killed any remaining survivors around the area, but they also killed and prohibited anybody attempted to venture back to Cloud Village. Their purposes were unknown, but nobody had any idea what the foreign troops were doing at what used to be Cloud Villagers' homes. The Ponies, mainly young members like Melon, who made out of Cloud Village vowed to hunt down whoever and take their revenge. Together they formed Forest Fire, an honored mercenary corp that makes a living by accepting others' offers.
