Appearance: Black flowing mane, dark blue coat, and dark green eyes. She is as tall as Princess Luna.

Personality: Dark, and evil. She is good at portraying other ponies.

Backstory: When Celestia and Luna's father and mother made Equestria, they made all of the creatures, too. Including the ponies. One was named Midnight Star, specially created by both the father and mother of the princesses. The three young alicorns saw each other as sisters. Until Canterlot began to form. Everything there was dedicated to magic. The ponies adored Celestia and Luna. In all the commotion, even the two sisters had forgotten about Midnight Star. With this she was furious. She also knew Celestia had more power over the ponies. She asked Luna if she could help her get revenge. Refusing, Midnight Star gave her evil influence. Within weeks, she had turned into Nightmare Moon. Celestia had no choice but to banish her to the moon. Angered at Midnight Star, she banished her to, but not to the moon. She banished her outside Equestria. There she waited. She waited 1000 years until The Curse Of The Moon would break off, and Nightmare Moon would cause havoc. Then she saw it, Nightmare Moon coming down from the moon, and capturing the princess. She took her to Everfree Forest, and Midnight Star, for the first time in 1000 years, walked on the lands of Equestria. She looked into the castle, where Nightmare Moon was taunting Princess Celestia. Then Celestia suddenly sank into the ground, and Nightmare Moon took off to Ponyville. She appeared and crashed the party, telling the ponies they would never see their princess again. But 6 brave souls, Twilight Sparkle, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, and Applejack used the Elements of Harmony to turn Nightmare Moon back into Princess Luna. Furious, over the years Midnight Star tried as much as she could to ruin those ponies. She put anger in the soul of a gryphon, a friend of Rainbow Dash, only to see that it did nothing. She brought a pony named Trixie to Ponyville to anger Twilight Sparkle, only to find out she had no problem with it. She tried to ruin the gala, only to find out they laughed about it. After, she managed to weaken Discord's curse, which let him free of his imprisonment. Sadly, they used the Elements of Harmony to imprison him again. Finally, she informs Queen Chrysalis of how much love Equestria has for her and her changelings to feed on. They go immediatly. She succeeds well, only to be defeated by love itself. Angered, she decided to do the job herself.
