Appearance: Empyrean is actually a Changeling. She dons the same dark-grey exoskeleton of most of her brethren, however features an orange carapace and wings, along with bright orange eyes. One of her most notable features is her slim frame, compared to most Changelings.

Empyrean in her pony form retains her slender frame, albeit with a liberty blue (Yes it's a color) coat, a long, blue-silver and gold mane, and blood red eyes. She also lacks a horn, trading it for the liberation of wings. She has numerous scars from and incident involving her parents (oddly enough, these scars are only seen in her pony form. They are not noticeable on her exoskeleton), however she prefers to hide most of them with bandages.

Most of Empyrean's apparel is utilitarian. She has bandages that run the length of her lower legs, in addition to leather gloves over her hooves. She also sports a harness specifically made for her weapon of choice, allowing her to holster or otherwise manipulate it to her desire. She tends to wear bioptics when working.
Cutie Mark: Several cogs arranged randomly across her flank. As a result of not being interconnected, Minerva chooses to believe that these cogs represent stars, and in turn, show that she will someday reach the stars through the use of machinery, or aid others in this pursuit.
Personality: Empyrean is known for her eccentricities - most notably, her absolute revulsion for the ground. It is the reason behind her gloves and bandages - to ensure she never actually touches the ground, only that her gloves do. She has on many occasions worn herself out to the point of collapse, causing her to panic upon contact.

Beyond her phobia of the ground is an equally peculiar personality. Empyrean is spontaneous and cheerful, often bothering others because of it. However, there are noticeable breaks in her behavior - when irritated she will become much more reserved, whilst when concentrating she can enter a state of hyperfocus.

She often struggles with her past, which tends to bring light to her tics. Her parents and the ground are touchy topics for her, generally resulting in emotional breakdowns or moments of extreme reservation.
