Cutie Mark: It's a very crude target. It signifies his role as an assassin.

Personality: He is a grizzled, cynical unicorn, prone to unhealthy habits, including smoking (both cigars and cigarettes) and alcoholism. He has severe depression. He gets frustrated easily, and he usually lacks patience. This is his primary flaw. Outwardly, he is very cocky and proud, but he hides a lot of turmoil on the inside. He is confident, contemptuous, ruthless, and distant, but on the inside he truly cares about some of the people he helps. His pride often gets the best of him, and he is terrible at dealing with emotional problems. He dislikes authority, but he has a soft spot for Princess Luna, having once been her protector.<br /><br />Despite his lack of patience, he is well suited to spy work and deceit. He prefers more subtle methods to a direct fight, but he is capable in both.

Backstory: He was born with the name Moonshinerlong before the show begins. Though both of his parents worked non-stop to support the family, they were still rather poor. He was bullied as a child because of his weird eye until one day he discovered his special talent while fending off the bullies. Unfortunately, while fending them off, he injured them severely, and he received the scar which crosses his eye. The authorities caught up with him, but rather than being punished, he was recruited by the Equestrian royal guard, having been seen for his natural talent. He was groomed to be a soldier, and soon became one of the most talented soldiers in Equestria. Eventually he ended up amongst an elite group of guards tasked with defending Luna, who was very young at the time. When Luna got older, this elite unite was replaced, leaving him to be sent off on missions in distant lands, such as the home of the griffons. A mysterious event led to him eventually becoming disillusioned with his life and choosing to dedicate his life to helping the common people people and fighting evil alone. This is when he took the name DeadEye (in most stories) based on his eye and his special talent. Through a complicated series of events dealing with (insert story specific event) he ended up in the present. He now lives in the Everfree Forest protecting those who venture into its murky depths and protecting Equestria from the shadows.<br /><br />INQUISTITION:<br />In this series, he works as a spy and assassin under the Luna Branch, bounded only by his affection for to the Princess and his determination to rid the world of those who pray on the innocent. He does not respect authority, and he is inclined to go off on his own at times. He is unlikely to follow procedure or even proper attire.
