Appearance: <p> Morax has two notable appearances. The first of which is his true physical spirit form, where he is a massive purple-skinned creature with a humanoid upper body, with two muscular arms with five-fingered clawed hands and a pair of large wings on his back. His lower body is that of a giant snake tail of a lighter purple colour which is far larger than the rest of the body. His head is adorned with six large purple horns alongside several smaller spikes circling his head like a crown. His eyes and mouth are a bright purple as well, and a thin serpant's tongue occasionally slithers out between his sharp, jagged teeth. In the centre of his chest is a bright red gem which burns fiercely when he is using his magic. </p> <p> His second appearance is his pony form, which he takes when he wants to appear less threatening. In this form he is a average-looking pony with a light bluish-purple coat and a deep purple mane with a slick, oily appearance.     </p>

Cutie Mark: <p> His pony appearance's mark is of a dark present with a bright purple ribbon, symbolising the dark gifts he provides. </p>

Personality: <p> Morax is a thoroughly villainous and mischievious dark spirit bent solely on tricking ponies into making devastating mistakes. He finds great pleasure in warping the wishes of ponies that come to him into something harmful and unexpected. He is cunning, cruel and completely unempathetic, but equally does not favour good or evil unless made to do so, potentially making him an extremely dangerous enemy or powerful ally. When enticing a pony to make a wish, he sounds wise, patient and soothing. </p>

Backstory: <p> Morax originally came to Equestria as a neutral but chaotic wandering spirit, with vast magical powers but without the ability to use them however he wanted. Only capable of granting a single wish to any living thing, he originally granted all ponies that came to him their wishes exactly as they wanted without a hint of malicious intent. While initially this brought great happiness to the land, he was soon used by greedy and ill-intentioned ponies to create great imbalances in the land and caused widespread disorder. Refusing to cease his wish-granting, which Morax saw as his sole purpose for existing, the spirit was eventually defeated by Starswirl the Bearded, who cunningly used a carefully-worded wish to force Morax to imprison himself inside a large ruby. </p> <p>   </p> <p> Starswirl's wish was the first time Morax ever manipulated a request, however, and made it so that he could continue to grant wishes to whoever found the ruby. Realising this, Starswirl took the ruby and hid it inside an icy cave north of the Crystal Empire, where he hoped it would never be found. As time past some ponies learnt of the location of the cave and occasionally seeked out Morax and his gifts - only to be greeted with horrible surprises by the vengeful dark spirit. When the Crystal Empire disappeared under King Sombra, knowledge of Morax disappeared as well. But the spirit is ever patient, and eagerly awaits the next pony to grace his frozen prison. </p>
