Appearance: Lilac-coloured fur, purple mane and tail, bright yellow eyes with a jarring sharp gaze. Wears her hat, a belt, and on the right side of her head her voicebox with two antennas.

Cutie Mark: A cogwheel, representing her machine-like demeanour (and perhaps something else?)

Personality: Nachtwache is more mysterious than her already mysterious older sister, Nurse Ironcross. Even when Ironcross was doing her rounds at various hospitals, nopony knew she even had a sister.<br /><br />While her sister has emotions and tries to hide them, Nachtwache has no emotions and tries to emulate them. If she has any feelings at all, it's a feeling of childlike curiosity about the world around her, and especially for the strange emotions felt by everypony else. She has a strong drive to learn about everything and gather information about anything around her. Nachtwache can often be seen simply staring intently at seemingly mundane things that to her are utterly fascinating. Something as simple as a butterfly, or a flower, or a cloud, she will stare at for hours as if she's studying every last detail.<br /><br />This leads her comrades to think she's an airhead or a simpleton. She has a large capacity for knowledge, however, and a photographic memory. She can give answers and produce calculations within seconds. Despite her massive knowledge of facts and figures, she's completely naive about the world around her, and for all her advanced knowledge, she lacks the basic knowledge "normal" ponies have.<br /><br />She is rarely seen talking, and indeed, doesn't "talk" at all. She never opens her mouth, and communicates via a magic-powered voicebox, located on the side of her head, which gives her a monotonic, artificial "voice" befitting of her emotionless personality.<br /><br />Her drive to learn and acquire knowledge makes her a natural for surveillance duties, and she's used to this end by Red October; both to spy on his enemies, and also to spy on his own subordinates. As a unicorn, she has magic, but seems to only be able to manipulate small objects, teleport, and levitate herself.

Backstory: Nachtwache just seemingly showed up one day. Shortly after her sister, Nurse Ironcross joined the team, Nachtwache suddenly appeared at Red October's base camp in the Foal Mountain. Whether she followed her sister in secret, or simply knew where she was is unknown.<br /><br />Apart from that, nothing is known about her backstory. Presumably, she was born in Canterlot with her sister, but even that information cannot be confirmed, as Ironcross will reveal nothing about her (if she even knows) and Nachtwache herself seems to have no memory of her background.<br /><br />She quickly became one of Red October's favourite henchponies, for her incredible ability for reconnaissance and data-gathering, and her loyalty, as she will follow any command he gives.
