Appearance: Image above. The golden ribbon is just there as her motif and not part of her actual design.<br /><br />(Equestria Divided) Wears a ragged, dark grey cloak dotted with black patches of various fabrics sewn on to cover up tears. Also carries around tan saddlebags that also has patches sewn onto it. There are little pockets on the sides that allow easy access to her shuriken. Most of the time is also wearing Stormwing wing blades.<br /><br />In formal attire, she wears a medium green cape with lines of blue running through it like rivers. She also wears arm warmers that are deep blue like the ocean and trimmed with white like the Arctic north. She wears her mane in a ponytail and she retains her green hairpins.

Cutie Mark: A stylized planet Earth surrounded by amber dots and amber ribbons. A traveller with knowledge of almost every place in the world.

Personality: North Shine was inquisitive as a filly and it carried on into her marehood. She's quite warm and sweet depending on the situation and always asks lots of questions that seem casual. It sometimes get on other ponies' nerves though and she has to stop for a moment and listen.<br /><br />However, while the above traits do have a place in her real personality, it's all a facade to mask the guilt she felt from past mistakes. She has trouble forgiving and forgetting and will more likely than not hold a grudge for crimes committed against her. She's also a little selfish, thinking that her help is more damaging to others than beneficial.<br /><br />With a firm and constant grip on her emotions and the talent of an expert actress(unless she's in the warmth of company), she keeps the conflicts within her very well hidden from all. Only a keen observer and a pony who has been in her position at least once and has gotten better can find out what really dwells beneath the surface.<br /><br />(Equestria Divided) North retains a lot of this personality except she's probably trying to get you comfortable in order to steal something(usually food and water). And her hidden distant self isn't so much the result of accidentally leading others to despair and their demise and more-so what she became after witnessing the horrors of every faction she set hoof into. She has done it so many times in order to survive and quench her travel-lust that she's pretty numb to it all by now.

Backstory: North Star was born in Cloudsdale and lived a pretty normal life with both her parents. At that time though, she was a young, narrow-minded filly who closed herself off to the world at large. She would never play with the other ponies and never expanded her mind on anything. <br /><br />One day though, her father had business in Canterlot. Figuring that by showing his daughter the grandeur of the capital city would she stop being so closed-off, he took her to Canterlot. North Star whined the whole way there and persisted when they got there.<br /><br />During the first few days, North Star did nothing but mope and look out the window. Eventually, she got bored and began to wander around. Once she stepped outside, she was flying all over Canterlot, taking in all the sights and wonders the city had to offer. <br /><br />From that time on, she was eager to tag along with her father for his trips to other places in Equestria. They even travelled the world one time- and she still does to this day.<br /><br />(This is for Equestria Divided): For five years since her birth, North Shine has been traveling from town to town, city to city, country to country, and back. Her parents were travel-savvy and enjoyed taking their daughter everywhere they went. <br /> <br />Their journeys around the world however, came to a halt. Iron curtains were built around vast reaches of land and around towns and cities. They soon found out that the princesses have disappeared. Equestria divided, they tried to find a secluded place where they could find safety from the warring factions. <br /> <br />They finally found refuge in a cave located in a small in the Northern Expansion. They camped out there for three years. They taught North lots of advanced topics, since she was intelligent and gained much knowledge from her previous travels. Her father taught her how to fight. Her mother taught her how to blend in. They shared all they knew about the six factions. She taught herself how to spy.<br /> <br />Eventually, they found out that House Stormwing had taken over the western expansion. What's worse, they were camped out near the Dragonpoint Outpost. As they prepared to leave, the soldiers spotted them. Due to Rainbow Dash's sheer hate toward the ones without loyalties to a faction, they pursued the family. <br /> <br />They flew for days, before realizing that they would keep going until they caught them. So they hid North in a hole covered by a bush. She was left with all their supplies and the dragon charm hanging around her neck. They surrendered themselves to the Stormwings and got taken away<br /><br />Since then, North began to go roguish. She began to steal food, water, and other things to meet her needs in every town she visits and she only steals enough to put her below the radar of the six faction leaders of this broken Equestria. She developed an identity for every place she went to and developed so many that she almost lost herself a couple times. It was only memories of her fillyhood trauma and her necklace that brought her back every time.<br /><br />She eventually succeeded in making a full circle around Equestria and earned her Cutie Mark at age 19, rather late time for earning one. That day was actually the first time she stole a gem in celebration. Realizing what she had done, she somewhat reluctantly gave it back in secrecy.<br /><br />Over time, she went from a sweet, soft-spoken filly to a ragged, stoic mare. The horrors she saw in every faction caused her to grow emotionally numb and though she felt some sympathy for those persecuted, she never once stood up for any of them. She's only out there to survive in this shattered Equestria and she'll do whatever it takes to live.<br /><br />What she needs though is an important life lesson.<br />
