Appearance: October Days is a unicorn mare with a dark grey coat with a slight greenish tint. Her mane is maroon with a few stray strands of purple. Her mane is shorter than most mares and a bit tomboyish. It's swept forwards and upwards a bit in the front and combed down in the back so it goes down along her neck. She's a tad taller than most ponies and usually wears a black, fleece lined jacket.

Cutie Mark: October's cutie mark is a stylized 5-pointed star similar to the elder sign as decipted by August Derleth (I'll have a picture for refrence below). It represents her knowledge of dark magic (though she avoids using it herself) and the various monsters found around Equestria.

Personality: Considering her interests, October is rather chatty and cheerful, especially when talking about monsters (the creepier the better!) and magic, specifically artifacts of unknown or dark origin. She often 'zones out', but is easily snapped out of it. She sometimes has 'strange moods' where she acts depressed and ominous. She talks to herself a lot, usually when working on something.

Backstory: October grew up in a small town in the more 'wild' part of Equestria with her parents, Monday and Friday. They both studied the local fauna which often was of the dangerous sort. October liked to tag along on their expeditions in her teenage years and had a knack for working with monstrous beasts. She never got her cutie mark until she happened upon a dusty old tome, presumably older than the Princesses themselves, hidden in the basement of an abandoned house deep withing the woods near the town. The book detailed various dark magics and strange beasts and she kept it, studying it ever since. She's yet to learn all it's secrets.
