Personality: Pensive is a very reserved, antisocial pony. She keeps to herself most of the time, barely trying to make new friends. It's not that she doesn't like others, it's just that she cares a lot more about reading and writing than being social. The only type of ponies she truly dislikes are the ones that insist on talking to her, even when it's clear that she wants to be alone. As you might expect, she prefers the calm and quiet of night time rather than the day time where everypony is out and about. If she's given a choice, she'd much rather stay home and read a book alone rather than go to a party that everypony else is going to. When it comes to her writing, she doesn't like ponies knowing much about her books until they're published, and can get very annoyed if ponies continue to question her about her unfinished works.

Backstory: Pensive was born in Ponyville. She was one of the smartest students in her class while she was in school. She never really tried to make friends during that time, even though some ponies wanted to get to know her better. She wasn't very much of a writer until she was close to being done with school, so she was the last in her class to get her cutie mark. Once she did get her cutie mark she spent most of her free time writing, just like she does now. She started getting much more serious about her writing when she got out of school, officially starting her career as an author.
