Appearance: Planet Skipper is a red unicorn with a brownish gray mane. He always wears goggles, which he only takes off when looking through his telescopes in his observatory.
Cutie Mark: Planet Skipper's cutie mark is a yellow planet with exactly 3 brown rings around it.
Personality: Planet Skipper is a busy and serious pony, and his interest in planets and space overall can earn him the title 'forgetful' as well. He easily gets drawn into his work when discovering something interesting, and though he has some friends who understand him and his mind, he rarely has time to 'hang out' with them.
Backstory: Planet Skipper was always interested in space. He spent nights when he was just a young filly staring at the sky, admiring the glinting stars that the great Princess Luna sent into the night. As he grew older, he became even more intrigued, and at his 15th birthday in human terms, he got his first own telescope.

He spent every night on this new telescope, exploring space new planets. He would get called down to dinner, and he'd come 5 minutes later after he made a few last minutes notes. You know, like on of those movies where the kid is fascinated in something and observes it as much as he could. Exact same situation here, only it was real life.

At 18 years, he finally went to an astronomical college that encouraged and taught about space. Finally, after years of studying and studying, whether it was for a test or for his own interests, he got his final degree and he worked at a science lab, studying alien substances.

Finally, many, many years later, at age 34, he earned himself to not only build himself an observatory, but to get supplies to use it and then have enough money left over to be qualified as financially stable. Now, 5 years later, a mysterious aura entered Ponyville, and as far as he knows, it's not from space. It has knocked out many ponies, all his friends and more, and few are still awake. The sleep the unconscious ponies are suffering is unstoppable, other than, apparently, finding the source of the mist and disposing of it. What happens at this point is unknown...
