Backstory: Platinum Lance is a mighty Paladin who works as the general of Canterlot's combat forces and is also the father of Silver Sword and Golden Shield. When Canterlot failed to forge a peace treaty with The Flower Kingdom, he protested but it was all for naught. When his forces were defeated he capitulated and forged a temporary alliance with Queen Black Rose in order to prevent further harm to his comrades. When Canterlot was looted, one of the Three Weapons of Legend, Gradivus, was given to him. He later came to Canterlot Castle waging war. And even when his own son Silver Sword asked him to come back to Canterlot, he denied the request and fought Silver and his army.<br /><br />All believed that he was a traitor after he served Queen Black Rose. But he was forced to do so because his people were being threatened by the tyrant Queen and her forces.<br /><br />He joins Silver´s army upon being defeated on orders of Princess Celestia sparing his life with her infinite mercy and compassion. And because he needed to "pay for his treason against the crown".
